4th Annual Telematics China Summit held successfully

Organised by GRCC, the 4th Annual Telematics China Summit has been held successfully in Shanghai Pudong Ramada Plaza, 4th to 5th September 2014. Sponsored by u-blox, Qoros Auto, Magneti Marelli, RealVNC, G&D, Speechocean and Digia, the event gathered worldwide decision makers from government, the automotive industry, telematics service providers, the insurance industry, information technology, the telecomms industry and device manufacturers.

RealVNC displayed its Smart Car Machine Interconnected System, which has achieved a seamless and convenient interconnection between smartphone and car. Digia revealed the cross-platform application and UI development framework for leading desktop, embedded and mobile operating systems. G&D showed its M2M Communications Security Module and u-blox exhibited embedded phone and semiconductor chips, highlighting their applications in vehicle networking technology.

Each with their own perspective and networking insights on the market, the speakers focused on issues related to networking to promote the development of telematics, from the point of view of multi-car networking development strategies. The main focus areas were: in-car infotainment systems; smart devices; entrance value of automobile; and automotive big data. LTE technology, infotainment applications and cloud technology have improved the commercial viability of telematics.
