Precision High Performance LEDs

Offered in the full spectrum of colours, some specific leaded 5mm LEDs are now rated at in excess of 8Cd at 20mA for a 505nm traffic light green having a 15 degree viewing angle. The green LEDs are manufactured from proprietary InGaN material and are also selected for Vf to guarantee batch to batch consistency. AlInGaP yellow LEDs provide over 6Cd for a 590nm device at 20mA. Extensive in-house life test data can be provided for design support and to optimise drive characteristics.

Targeted at the ever expanding information display market, specially designed elliptical LEDs have exceptional viewing angles of 120/60 degrees for passenger information applications such as front of bus signs and platform information displays. For particularly rigorous requirements, LED die can be pre-selected to a narrow tolerance providing complete display homogeneity. All devices are also bin-coded post production for wavelength and intensity, ensuring product consistency over large areas

The LEDs can be supplied loose or on tape and reel for auto-insertion. Detailed mechanical and electrical drawings support clearly-defined part numbers, ensuring that design engineers and procurement professionals can specify the products with complete confidence
