Hitachi 21.3in TFT display for professional imaging applications
Hitachi has announced the introduction of a new 21.3in 1.9MegaPixel UXGA TFT display module. The new TX54D13VC0CAA display implements the latest evolution of Hitachi’s In-Plane-Switching technology, IPS-Pro, which provides a stable colour image from any viewing angle, excellent colour saturation and a very high contrast ratio.
DemaThe new TX54D13VC0CAA display module joins Hitachi’s existing 17inch SXGA and 19inch WSXGA+ IPS-Pro TFT displays that are targeted at high performance medical applications. “Customers in professional markets can benefit from the high contrast and wide viewing angles achieved by IPS-Pro technology. For applications where absolute image quality is paramount these displays deliver unparalleled performance,” says Steve Donohoe, Technical Manager for Hitachi Display Products Group “The new TX54D13VC0CAA display offers excellent colour saturation with a very high contrast ratio. The black level of the new display combined with improved transmittance helps to provide a contrast ratio of 900:1.”
The superior performance of IPS-Pro technology also enables the 17inch, 19inch and 21.3inch displays to be used in a wide range of high-end, multi-viewer applications which demand high optical
performance. All models are ideally suited for use in public information displays, security surveillance, video monitoring and many other high end industrial applications.
The 21.3inch UXGA TX54D13VC0CAA features a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, a contrast ratio of 900:1 and brightness of 300cd/m². The 2-channel LVDS input signal interface enables up to 16.7M colours to be displayed. The new display module has outline dimensions of 460.6mm (w) x 362.0mm (h) x 25.0mm (d) and weighs in at 3450g.
The IPS-Pro technology used in the TX54D13VC0CAA display ensures viewing angles of 176 degrees in both horizontal and vertical planes, without significant reduction in contrast. The TX54D13VC0CAA features a long-lifetime CCFL backlighting unit.
