FORGE EUROPA ANNOUNCES MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS IN POWER PACKAGED LED PORTFOLIO
Forge Europa is delighted to announce a number of major developments in the company’s power packaged LED portfolio targeted at emerging solid state lighting markets
XLAMForge Europa is Cree Lighting’s exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland, and the latest exciting product development from Cree is the launch of the industry’s brightest 3 Watt package, the XLAMP 3 7090 series.
XLamp 3 7090 LEDs combine the brightness of power LED chips with a rugged package capable of operating in excess of 3 watts. XLamp LEDs lead the solid state industry in brightness whilst providing a reflow solderable design that is optimised for ease of use and thermal management. Lighting applications featuring XLamp LEDs maximise light output and increase design flexibility, whilst minimising environmental impact.
XLamp 3, which has the same footprint as the 1 watt device, is available in a wide range of colours including white, royal blue, blue, cyan, green, amber, red-orange and red. Benefits of the range include the fact that the package has an electrically neutral thermal path and the devices have a low operating voltage when compared with other comparable competitive devices . XLamp is fully RoHS compliant, with integrated lens and the small 7.0 x 9.0mm footprint is common across new and existing series.
SECONDARY OPTICS FOR XLAMP NOW AVAILABLE FROM FORGE EUROPA
Typically XLamp 7090 and XLamp 3 7090 LEDs provide a 100 degree viewing angle. Forge Europa recognises the need for different beam shapes and angles for specialised applications and is now able to offer a number of secondary optics lens options for use with XLamp products. Data on Fraen, Polymer Optics and L2 Optics lenses is available from the sales department. An emerging range of Cree own brand secondary optics is also being released.
WARM WHITE XLAMP COMING SOON
The new range of Warm White 1 watt XLamp products is due for release in the next few weeks. Expected performance is in the 2800 – 3000K range.
