Sundance gets IET award
Sundance DSP Inc., the supplier and manufacturer of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) and reconfigurable computing platforms, advanced IP cores, libraries and tools today announced that its PARS (Parallel Application from Rapid Simulation) software development environment was named winner of the Software Design category at the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s (IET) Innovation Awards 2008.
TargThe Innovation Awards span 15 categories and attracted hundreds of entries from around the world. They represent a unique opportunity for industry innovators to be recognized and provide a showcase for the brightest ideas, highlighting the importance of innovation by celebrating its application across a range of engineering disciplines.
IET Chief Executive, Robin McGill, said, “I would like to congratulate all the winning and shortlisted entries in this year’s Innovation Awards, which demonstrate genuine novelty and represent a significant technological advance for the industry.
“The entries which made it to the shortlist are a very impressive roll call of innovation and although it may be a cliché to say “everyone is a winner,” in this case I am sure it is true. The awards highlight the depth and breadth of innovative work which is being carried out and it and it is clear from the range of entries that innovation is alive and well. The work undertaken on the projects highlighted by the Innovation Awards will help businesses grow and develop and have a positive impact in many areas.”
The award categories are: Asset Management, Built Environment, Electronics, Emerging Technologies, Information Technology, Power and Energy, Product Design, Project Team, Measurement in Action, Security, Software in Design, Start-ups, Sustainability, Telecommunications, and Transport.
