To meet the demanding workloads of network computing and data processing at the edge of the network and cloud datacenter, Lanner will adopt the server-based, 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Family Processors on Lanner’s flagship network appliances, including NCA-6210, NCA-5710, NCA-5520 and FX-3230.

Featuring improved turbo performance, integrated security and unprecedented memory bandwidth, the upgrades will empower Lanner network appliances to perform today’s advanced network computing applications, including enterprise network security, intelligent video analytics, low latency communications and visual content delivery.

Lanner, the leader in hardware solutions for high performance network appliances, offers a complete portfolio of network platforms powered by the 2nd-Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, delivering high-end network computing performance and ultra throughputs.

Our network appliances powered by Intel Xeon Scalable processors come with a wide selection, including 1U and 2U form factors, single or dual sockets CPU, four or eight NIC modules and HDD expansion capability.

The all-new 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Family processors feature up to 28 cores per processor, Intel AVX-512 instructions and integrated hardware-based security packs like Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT).

Intel Xeon Scalable Processors with Intel C620 Series Chipsets are optimised for data centric workloads such as visual content delivery and data compression and cryptography across servers, and the latest Intel Xeon Scalable processors now features higher frequencies with up to 4.4GHZ turbo boost, delivering up to 35% total performance improvement over previous generation.

Memory wise, the adoption of the 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors will not only provide full support of DDR4 up to 2,933MHz, but also support Intel Optane DC persistent memory, an innovative memory technology that integrates large capacity, low-latency persistence and high reliability with enhanced performance for data-intensive applications.

To accelerate the deployment of next-gen visual content delivery, Lanner and Intel are collaborating to verify NCA-6210 as an Intel Select Solution for Visual Cloud Content Delivery. This solution optimises critical cloud workloads by enabling robust, high-performance video transcoding and analytics while reducing the latency for immersive media enhancement, targeting at AR/VR applications and is pin-to-pin compatible with its first-generation predecessor.
