Maxim and Transim Technology Corporation have announced the launch of Maxim's EE-Sim Design Center, powered by Transim's WebSIM online design technology. A virtual design environment, EE-Sim allows engineers to create and simulate complex circuits online in a matter of mere minutes, greatly reducing design time.
The EE-Sim Design Center enables users to create complete power-management designs online just by entering a few design requirements, such as voltage, output current, and switching frequency. Based on these requirements, EE-Sim generates an interactive schematic complete with components that can be changed on the fly. Transim's WebSIM technology allows instant verification of the proposed design using powerful remote-simulation capabilities. Multiple design iterations can be analyzed in minutes without the hassles of software installation and without a learning curve. The resulting waveforms, such as Bode plots and voltage graphs, are available for analysis in the included interactive waveform viewer. The design requirements, schematic, results, and bill of materials (BOM) can be printed and/or saved in the user's private design space for future use. Additionally, EE-Sim is available as a free, downloadable simulation tool.

EE-Sim is a testimony to our ongoing commitment to providing customers with superior design support, stated Mansour Izadinia Maxim's Vice President, System and Power Management Business Unit. Working closely with Transim's web design experts, Maxim designed EE-Sim to provide an easily accessible, user-friendly, and fast engineering solution, continued Mr. Izadinia.

Maxim has a strong reputation for delivering innovative analog and mixed-signal engineering solutions, observed Mrs. Birgit Knorr, Transim's President and CEO. We were excited to be working closely with Maxim in creating a real value add [EE-Sim] for their customers.
