With the i-CON MK2 series, system supplier Ersa presents its new soldering stations for industrial hand soldering at SMTconnect in Nuremberg, Germany.

Features of the new Ersa soldering station series are its performance and functionality, starting from 150W and enabling optimum performance for manual applications.

All Ersa i-CON MK2 stations feature the newly developed Ersa soldering tip technology known from the IoT soldering station i-CON TRACE with fast heat-up and reheat characteristics and a precise temperature control of +/- 2 °C.

The associated Ersa i-TOOL MK2 fine soldering iron offers up to 20% more soldering power and, at 30g and 150mm overall length, is a lightweight that fits perfectly in the hand. A big advantage: The i-TOOL MK2 can reduce operating costs and save resources.

Thanks to the bayonet lock, the heating element remains intact and in place when the tip is changed. There are no tools required – only the tip is replaced, and, due to the patented Tip’n’Turn concept, this is done quickly and safely. Tip change is effected either manually or via the multifunctional tool holder (optional) – in any case, the soldering tip is changed easily and the user does not come into contact with any hot parts.

The i-TOOL MK2 is suitable continuous operation, as its handle remains comfortably cool. It recovers so fast that all solder joints can be made with virtually the same temperature. The sensor measures the actual tip temperature very close to the tip extremity. The i-CON stations signal the operator if the temperature leaves the pre-set process window.

As soon as the soldering tool is not used, the temperature drops to the set standby temperature after the preselected standby time. A wide range of performance-optimised standard and specialised soldering tips offers great flexibility even for complex or unconventional applications.

Discover the Ersa i-CON Mark 2 series soldering stations and how you can get even more performance for industrial hand soldering – live at the SMTconnect in Nuremberg from 9—11 May at Ersa booth 115 in hall 4.
