dSPACE TargetLink 3.1
Version 3.1 of dSPACE's production code generator TargetLink provides extensive enhancements in the areas of the Code Generator's core functionality, AUTOSAR support, usability, and MATLAB®/Simulink® integration. With these enhancements, dSPACE made model-based design, autocoding, and model-based testing even more efficient. Certification of TargetLink 3.1 for applications in safety-relevant electronic systems according to IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 is currently in progress.
TargetLink 3.1 opens up new possibilities for users in software integration and software integration testing. Production code can now be generated directly from the dSPACE Data Dictionary independently of any model, so subfunctionalities can be assembled and tested efficiently and reliably.
TargetLink's extensive support for managing different variants has also been enhanced: With Version 3.1, vectorized code can be generated with variable vector widths. This makes it easier to reuse code and considerably reduces the effort for code reviews and tests.
Particular attention was paid to extending AUTOSAR support in the new TargetLink version. Users will now find it easy to transition from conventional production projects to AUTOSAR-compliant ones. The AUTOSAR blockset has been redesigned for seamless integration into the MATLAB/Simulink world, for easy migration to AUTOSAR, and to enable both conventional and AUTOSAR-compliant code to be generated from the same model. Numerous other AUTOSAR features are also supported, and interaction with architecture tools like dSPACE's SystemDesk has been optimized.
In addition to optimized usability, TargetLink 3.1 makes it easier to track requirements through to generated code and to automatic documentation. As a result, for TargetLink users working on safety-relevant projects, process-compliant work according to IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 has become much easier.
