Zuken integrates Board Designer with Agilent's ADS Software
Zuken has today announced that it has enhanced integration between Zuken’s Board Designer solution and Agilent's Advanced Design System software. The improved integration between the tools creates a number of benefits, including allowing engineers to easily import net, component and pin names created in Board Designer into ADS, along with other geometries.
ThisOur long collaboration with Zuken has benefitted our mutual customers by allowing our products to work well together. These new improvements make the integration even tighter, said Todd Cutler, General Manager, Agilent EEsof EDA. Combining the power of Zuken’s PCB design tools with Agilent’s industry-leading high-frequency analysis tools produces a more efficient design flow, resulting in better designs and shorter design cycles.
For more than 15 years we've been working closely with Agilent to deliver high-frequency design and analysis to our mutual customers, and we are pleased to make additional improvements to this solution, said Kazuhiro Kariya, Chief Technology Officer at Zuken. This enhanced integration will bring much smoother design and review processes for high-frequency PCB designers worldwide.
Seamless integration
ADS, Agilent’s electronic design automation software for designing RF, microwave and high-speed digital applications, integrates seamlessly with CR-5000 Board Designer, Zuken’s market-leading solution for PCB and IC package design. The interface allows users to transfer physical routing structures and board material information from Board Designer to ADS. Once in ADS, engineers can use Agilent’s electromagnetic analysis tools, including Momentum and Finite Element Method simulators, to optimize the performance of their high-frequency circuits.
The newly enhanced interface is available with Zuken’s Board Designer version 14, part of the recently-released CR-5000 version 14 and the ADS 2012 release.
