Avnet Embedded to host readiness seminar dedicated to the forthcoming launch of Windows Embedded Standard 7
Avnet Embedded, Europe’s leading distributor of Microsoft’s Embedded Operating Systems and Direct Insight, an official Windows Embedded Training Partner and Windows Embedded Gold Partner, are partnering to provide a compelling half day seminar for embedded developers entitled “The power of Windows 7 in an Embedded Device”. With Microsoft's forthcoming release, the Windows 7 user experience will be available to the embedded world for the first time. Avnet Embedded and Direct Insight have joined forces to provide engineers and managers with an early technical insight into the new operating system.
During the day, Direct Insight will present a technical evaluation of the new operating system, including feature comparisons with alternative operating systems, the embedded enabling features of Windows Embedded Standard 7 plus a demonstration on the Customer Technology Preview (CTP) version of the development toolset which has been created for Windows Embedded Standard 7.
Nick Donaldson, Director of Software at Avnet Embedded, said, We are very pleased to be running this seminar with Direct Insight, I hope that the seminar will be useful to organisations preparing to embark upon developing new embedded devices.
David Pashley, Managing Director of Direct Insight Ltd., added, I’m excited by what Microsoft has done in creating Windows Embedded Standard 7. Embedded developers are eager to understand the potential of this very major new technology for their next project. In partnership with Avnet Embedded, we are able to provide them with this insight at a very early stage.
