Electronic Specifier is once again looking forward to hosting the cyber security forum at electronica 2024 in November this year.

In an era dominated by digital connectivity, the threat of cyberattacks has become more pronounced than ever before. With a surge in attempted breaches targeting businesses, governmental bodies, and critical infrastructure, the importance of robust cybersecurity measures cannot be overstated.

Hosted by IOT Insider’s Editor Caitlin Gittins, the Cyber Security Forum is designed to convene industry leaders and researchers passionate about exploring cutting-edge strategies and solutions to combat evolving cyber threats.

9.45-10.15am

Title: Connectivity Standards Alliance’s Product Security Device Specification and certification program

Speaker: Preeti Ohri Khemani, Senior Director at Infineon Technologies, Chair of NFC Forum Board, and a member of the Connectivity Standards Alliance’s Europe Interest Group

In this talk, you’ll learn how the Connectivity Standards Alliance is paving the way for an industry harmonised standards with the release of its Product Security Certification Program, a single certification test capable of qualifying a consumer IoT product to receive the certifications and labels needed to be sold around the world.

Title: Machine-learning based anomaly and intrusion detection for cyber-resilience in microcontrollers

Speaker: Stephane DeVito, Senior Director, Security Technology  at Analog Devices Inc (ADI)

In this presentation, ADI will present an overview of a proposed cybersecurity architecture and software stack for microcontrollers, incorporating intrusion detection and cyber-resilience to enable critical systems to detect and respond to cyber-attacks.

11.00-11.30am

Title: AURIX TC4x sets new automotive security standards

Speaker: Dr. Jörg Schepers, Vice President, Infineon’s Automotive Microcontroller Product Line

This presentation aims to explain the contemporary trends in automotive cybersecurity, referencing the pivotal role of standards such as ISO 21434, the impact of new electrical/electronic (EE) architectures, and the emerging influence of quantum computing on security strategies.

11.40-12.10pm

Title: Cybersecurity landscape in automotive

Speaker: Francesco Fiaschi, Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Embed UK within Littelfuse

Littelfuse will be discussing the countermeasures that the automotive industry has taken to prevent cybersecurity risks from getting into the product lifecycle; the current standards that are shaping the automotive industry. There will also be a discussion on some typical requests from the field on which Littelfuse has contributed to enhancing the cybersecurity profile and reducing the cybersecurity attack surface.

12.20-12.50pm

Title: The upcoming Cyber Resilience Act

Speaker: Laurent Lagosanto, Technology Specialist, Avnet Silica

In this session, Laurent Lagosanto will present Avnet Silica's take on the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act, the soon to be introduced EU regulation regarding the placing on the market of products with digital elements. Laurent will provide an introduction to the regulation, the consequences and how the products and services sold by Avnet Silica can help customers to comply with the CRA and build cyber resilient products.

Join us to delve into practical development methodologies and foster a comprehensive cybersecurity culture fit for the challenges of 2025 and beyond.
