Transtector has unveiled a new series of AC/DC power fuses. These fuses are designed to offer overcurrent protection and are suitable for a broad spectrum of applications in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Transtector emphasises the critical need for reliable power fuses in safeguarding building power systems from electrical overcurrents. Such overcurrents can cause severe damage to wiring and infrastructure, posing risks to personnel and presenting fire and explosion hazards. Transtector's latest AC/DC power fuses are available in various forms and mounting options, catering to different service levels.

The newly introduced AC/DC power fuses are specifically designed to provide overcurrent protection in diverse settings. Applications range from electric vehicle charging and solar/photovoltaic power systems to power conversion, energy storage, and power distribution in both commercial and residential areas. They are also applicable in high-current DC power systems.

These fuses are available in service levels ranging from 10 amps to 630 amps. They come in popular form factors, including DIN-bolt mounts, flat-bolt mounts, and cartridge-type mounts. Featuring a high-speed, instant response mechanism, these fuses are crucial for protecting wiring, infrastructure, and personnel during electrical faults.

Transtector's AC/DC power fuses are not only easy to replace but also cost-effective. They provide round-the-clock protection, with most models offering superior current-limiting capabilities compared to circuit breakers during electrical faults, thereby ensuring enhanced safety for facilities and personnel.

Dan Rebeck, the Product Line Manager, highlighted the importance of these fuses, saying: "Our new current-limiting fuses respond instantly to protect a diverse range of devices. When used in conjunction with Transtector’s extensive range of overvoltage surge protectors, they ensure comprehensive site protection against all typical internal and external electrical threats."
