Soldering tips initiative gets extra support
Conrad Electronic Business Supplies has added support for all 31 new soldering tips joining the Weller range as part of the manufacturer’s tips initiative. The new choices bring the total number of Weller products now available from Conrad to over 350. The new expanded range of soldering tips gives outstanding control over performance, price and total cost of ownership.
The Active-Tip family is Weller’s best performing range, offering extremely accurate tip-temperature control and the fastest heat-up time for ultimate productivity. The Power-Response range offers the broadest selection of tips for various applications, and delivers an optimal balance of power, control and operating costs. Customers seeking the lowest price for high-quality soldering in general-purpose applications, Weller Silver-Line tips are competitively priced and can deliver a lower cost of ownership than inferior, budget tips.
“The Solder Tip Initiative energises the Weller product range in our portfolio, highlighting the fact that accurate temperature control and the flexibility to choose the right tip for the task at hand have an important impact on productivity and hence on overall cost of ownership,” said Markus Obermeier, Product Manager for Conrad, Category Business Supplies. “We always aim to help our customers achieve the best value when making any purchase. Weller, also, is intent on delivering great value, and I believe this is the key to our long and successful partnership.”
“It can be tempting to purchase items like soldering stations and tips based on price alone, but that approach fails to consider aspects like ease of use, service life, response time, and solder-joint quality and their effect on productivity. This is why we have launched the Tips Initiative,” said Stephan Hofmann, General Manager Weller. “Conrad’s commitment to delivering the best products and best support to its customers assures us that we will continue to achieve tremendous successes, and that end users all over Europe will be able to enjoy lower ownership costs as well as easier, more consistent and higher-quality soldering.”
