Medical 3D printing has many applications in various fields. In orthotics, industrial 3D printers are used to manufacture custom-sized orthoses, braces as well as prosthesis and parts for powered exoskeletons. First two helps patients with broken bones while the latter are used for amputees. Fallingwater, the one-of-a-kind house designed by America’s most famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, has lived to see its spectacular 3D printed version. The residence was created with three different techniques: CNC milling, laser engraving and 3D printing. It took only two weeks to complete the project using the ZMorph all-in-one Personal Fabricator and the latest version of the voxel-based software, Voxelizer.
