Frost & Sullivan Award Recognises ZMDI’s Commitment to Developing Innovative, ‘Green’ Products
The Frost & Sullivan ‘2009 European Sensors & Sensor Interfaces Green Excellence Product Innovation Award,’ is presented to Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden AG (ZMDI). The award recognises the company’s energy-efficient sensor interfaces, sensor signal conditioners, temperature sensors and other application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that have helped customers in the automotive, medical, industrial and consumer industries to meet t...
IO-Link high-voltage driver with integrated DC-DC converter for factory automation
ZMD AG has introduced the ZIOL2401, a high-voltage line driver with IO-Link functionality. The first member of a family of high-voltage line drivers, the chip offers two independent IO-channels that meet the physical layer requirements of sensor and actuator systems used in factory automation applications. The ZIOL2401 combines an advanced two-channel IO-Link driver with a DC-DC converter capable of producing up to 15 volts.
Capacitive sensor signal-conditioning IC from ZMD delivers 14-bit resolution at low power
ZMD has expanded its family of capacitive sensor signal conditioning devices with the wide-dynamic-range ZMD31210 cLite IC. New design technology delivers 14-bit resolution and 0.5% accuracy over a wide range of capacitance and temperature. Capacitive sensors offer several benefits, including very low power operation, and the ZMD31210 supports this with a low 60 uA current draw over a supply voltage range as low as 1.8V or as high as 5.5V.
ZMD Launches Low-power ADCs for Automotive Real-time Applications
ZMD AG has announced that its SARah family of successive-approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADC) now meets the rigorous requirements of the AEC-Q100 automotive industry standard. This qualification means the field-proven SARah family is now ready for automotive applications, saving designers and suppliers the cost and time needed to qualify a device after design-in.
