Yokogawa's DLM2000 mixed-signal oscilloscope has been enhanced with longer memory capabilities and a number of firmware improvements.  In the new version, the length of the acquisition memory has been increased up to 62.5 Mpoints in the standard unit and up to 250 Mpoints with the extended memory option.

Testing power management devices is a task with a number of requirements. Manufacturers need to demonstrate the capabilities of the device. They also want to give their customers relevant information to develop their applications. And these test re necessary both during the actual development of the semiconductor device and as hardware or firmware changes are made, the test have to be repeated to ensure the correct functioning of the chip.

Yokogawa has announced release 2 of the SMARTDAC+(R) GX and GP series paperless recorders. These new versions mean all Yokogawa’s GX series panel-mounted recorders and GP series portable recorders will comply with the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines, and accommodate an increased number of inputs. In addition, a new graphics display function is available as an option.

The Yokogawa AQ6370D bench top optical spectrum analyser, the successor to the company’s AQ6370C, incorporates a number of new functions designed to enhance its accuracy and analysis capabilities in the 600-1700 nm wavelength range. Newly added functions include data logging, gate sampling, resolution calibration, an advanced marker function and an enhanced auto-sweep mode.

Assuring customers of its high reliability, Yokogawa’s ProSafe-RS safety instrumented system has obtained the ISASecure Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) certification. Based on the IEC 62443-4 standard, the certification has three elements: communication robustness testing, functional security assessment and software development security assessment.

Yokogawa has developed an instrument which it says is “designed to build the bridge between power measurement and oscilloscope functions.” The new PX8000 Precision Power Scope can capture voltage and current waveforms precisely – Yokogawa’s latest tagline is “The Precision Makers” – opening up applications and solutions for a wide range of emerging power measurement problems.

Two new instruments have been added to the Yokogawa GS610 and GS820 family of source measure units: the GS610 Model 7655 is a battery simulator unit which simulates the internal resistance changes of batteries as an aid to failure analysis, while the GS820 Models 765601/Z and 765602/Z are 50 V output versions for testing higher-voltage components such as LEDs and power transistors.  

Yokogawa has added two new instruments to its ScopeCorder family of portable multi-channel data-acquisition recorders. The DL850E model targets power electronics and it has been developed to help engineers meet the increasing pressure for energy efficiency.

The Yokogawa 2558A is a new precision AC voltage/current standard that offers a simple stand-alone solution for the calibration of measuring instruments and power sensing devices including power meters, clamp meters and current transformers. A number of new enhancements have been introduced to the Yokogawa DLM4000 Series of 8-channel mixed-signal oscilloscopes. These include the L16 option, which adds 16 extra channels of logic, plus upgraded firmware for power measurements and serial-bus testing.

Yokogawa power meters and analysers are the key elements in tests being carried out by LUX-TSI. The two companies have entered into a relationship to test products using Yokogawa’s WT210 and WT3000 instruments to evaluate compliance with European Ecodesign Directives, and this capability will be demonstrated at the euroLED Conference at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham, on 24th and 25th June 2013.

Yokogawa has extended the range of plug-in modules for use with its AQ2200 Series multi-application optical test system by introducing two new tunable light source modules that allow the test wavelength to be varied to suit the user’s application.

The new Yokogawa AQ6150 and AQ6151 optical wavelength meters are fast, accurate and cost-effective instruments for carrying out measurements in the telecommunications wavelength range from 1270 to 1650 nm. Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces the release of two new product series, the GX panel-mounted paperless recorders and the GP portable paperless recorders. These are components of SMARTDAC+, a newly developed next-generation data acquisition and control system with excellent operability and expandability. Yokogawa Meters & Instruments has announced the introduction of the WT310 and WT330 series digital power meters on. These meters are useful in reducing the power consumed by electrical and electronic instruments, and are suitable for use in applications ranging from R&D to production.
