Würth Elektronik eiSos now offers a broad range of connectors, jacks and cables for the USB-3.1 standard. With 10Gb/s instead of 5Gb/s and a current supply of up to 20V. The USB 3.1 is a long-awaited technological leap forward that will open up a whole new area of applications.
Online design tool receives an upgrade
eiSos developers can now simulate the power inductors from Würth Elektronik via the company’s updated RED EXPERT. The losses determined with RED EXPERT are based on current and voltage waveforms typical in applications. Besides the core and winding losses, they also include the losses arising from the specific geometries of the inductance, such as the air gap.
Power box gives different approach to enabling power distribution
An entirely new approach to enabling power distribution, signal transmission, and function management in commercial vehicles: REDline Power Boxes is the name of the new system solution from Würth Elektronik ICS. With this series, the leading development partner and supplier of circuit-board-based central electrical systems is now presenting a range of products with an extremely high economic efficiency.
LAN transformers enable speeds of up to 10Gbit/s
Würth Elektronik eiSos is expanding the portfolio of their Ethernet modules with LAN transformers for speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. The transformers support Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 100W and currents up to 1A per channel. Würth Elektronik eiSos is the only manufacturer worldwide to offer 10-Gbit LAN transformers with an extended temperature range (-40 to +85°C).
Wuerth Elektronik to exhibit at PCIM Europe 2016
Würth Elektronik eiSos will be exhibiting at the PCIM Europe 2016 trade fair from 10 thru 12 May 2016 (Hall 7, Stand 219). The core themes of the component manufacturer at this international trade fair for power electronics, intelligent drive technology, renewable energies and energy management are the new power modules, first and foremost the step-down converters that make up the MagI³C product category.
Würth Elektronik eiSos presents updated catalogue for power modules
The new, expanded and improved Power Module Catalogue 2016 from Würth Elektronik eiSos is now available. Selecting the right step-down converters and LED drivers you need has become even more convenient. A selection tool depicts a clear overview of the various product groups, including pictograms to show all of their important functions at a glance.
Easy handling of cable outlets
Terminal blocks that can be plugged in both horizontally, as well as vertically, offer developers a high degree of flexibility. It’s the same in development too: The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Particularly cable outlets are usually there where you least often need them. Whether horizontal or vertical orientation to the circuit board can rarely be defined with certainty at the beginning of development.
Discrete board-to-board connectors for LEDs
The use of LED strip PCB’s is popular in the efficient production of electrical lighting solutions. Würth Elektronik eiSos is now introducing a completely series of connectors for connecting LED strip PCB’s: WR-LECO is available with two, three, four or five poles and is attractive due to its very flat design, only 2.45 mm high.
Manual is the latest text about how to control DC voltage
Würth Elektronik eiSos is releasing a new manual: ABC of Power Modules – Functionality, Structure and Handling of a Power Module is the first practical manual specifically about using components to control DC voltage. The manual explains the basics of voltage control and frequently used switching topologies. The mechanical design of a power module is described as well as its impact on EMC and heat management.
New networking event in the electronics branch
Which innovations are currently in the R&D pipeline of the electronics branch? How open must decision-makers in the electronics industry keep their minds for new technologies? And above all else: what is the role played by the 'smart factory' in this connection? These and a host of similar questions were on the agenda of the very first Innovation Symposium in the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on 26th January, attended by more than 50 manag...
