Weidmüller has unveiled their new Raspberry Pi 4 case, the u-maker box, designed with the specific needs of makers, testing labs, R&D departments, and various industries in mind.

SNAP-IN is the latest innovation in connection technology. A conductor is inserted into the terminal's connection point and the mechanism snaps shut thanks to the mousetrap principle.

A new LED light designed by Weidmüller, WIL STANDARD is suitable for a range of applications and impresses on both a technical and design level. The LED light incorporates three rows of LEDs (3x14 LEDs) arranged in a trapesium shape at 20° angles, allowing for an ultra-wide beam angle and a broad illuminated area. This design means users do not have to rotate the light to illuminate specific areas or even change the direction.

Challenges in communications and connectivity have been brought through the drive to Industry 4.0 and Weidmüller is helping customers to address these. The company’s range of products supports all of the key industrial network protocols, including CC-Link IE, the gigabit industrial Ethernet version of the CC-Link fieldbus.

Thanks to FreeCon Contactless from Weidmüller, customers who employ industrial robots on their production lines can now avoid contact related failures and cut maintenance costs considerably. Weidmüller has annouced its latest HD modules. Four lines with wire cross-sections of 0.14 to 0.32mm2 can be connected to every single HD connector, producing 32 connection points on what is already the narrowest module width on the market at just 11.5mm. Connection density goes hand in hand with system structure flexibility: there is enough room on these HD modules for all the wiring for eight individually pluggable sensors or actuators.

Weidmüller has expanded its TERMSERIES family of products to include high-performance variants capable of reliably and durably switching inductive and capacitive loads. Featuring a compact design and a slim width of just 12.8mm, the variants fit anywhere on the DIN rail. They can instantly switch the full 16A load current thanks to the integrated cross-connection system.

Exhibiting on Stand No 1C72 at Offshore Europe, Weidmüller will be showcasing its latest innovations from its ranges of electrical connectivity and process industry electronics. On display will be Weidmuller's industry leading range of terminals including the extensive ranges of SAK and W series terminals which are synonymous with the process industry.

A compact service interface for switch and control cabinets has been released by Weidmüller. Providing easy access to the control system/PC and electronics, the FrontCom Vario is suitable for use in machine construction, processing, and power and traffic engineering. As well as offering a multitude combinations, the device is claimed to take up half the space of competing devices.

Weidmüller will display its latest solutions for device and electrical connectivity, electronics and automation at the Southern Manufacturing exhibition in February. 

Currently the slimmest modular design available at only 11.5mm module width, Weidmüller’s new “u-remote” modularly designed remote I/O system is distinguished by a plug-in connection level, high component density – as well as best performance – and features high levels of efficiency and productivity.
