Membrane tech for your most stringent requirements
W. L. Gore & Associates has introduced its High WEP Series: a versatile venting solution to the increasingly stringent reliability requirements faced by design engineers and manufacturers of automotive electrical/electronic modules (EEMs). Increasingly, EEMs require greater thermal, mechanical and chemical reliability. As electronic devices are mounted closer to the point of use, they are exposed to harsher operating environments and che...
Stent graft gets FDA approval for iliac arteries
Gore won FDA approval for its VIABAHN VBX endoprosthesis to be used in the iliac arteries, making it the only balloon expandable stent graft having such an indication. It can be used on new or restenotic lesions within the iliac, including at the aortic bifurcation. Previously, vascular surgeons were only able to do such procedures off-label, utilising devices really developed for other applications.

The successful integration of GORE Aerospace Ethernet Cables into upcoming F-16 upgrade initiatives has been announced by W. L. Gore & Associates, (Gore). Gore’s new 10-gigabit cables exceed Cat6a electrical requirements by delivering reliable signal integrity with sufficient margin for high-speed data transmission over longer distances.
W. L. Gore & Associates at IMS 2016
W.L. Gore & Associates (Gore) has continuously expanded the company’s microwave/RF solutions at higher frequencies by designing cable assemblies that are reliable and will perform over time, and Gore is now addressing industry requirements for enhanced performance in the 60-70GHz range.
Acoustic vent for mobile phones features water protection
W. L. Gore & Associates announces the launch of the GORE Acoustic Vent GAW333 – a smaller, smarter way to improve mobile phone acoustics while maintaining IPX8 immersion protection and IP6X particle protection. With an inner diameter as small as 1.5 mm, the GAW333 packs a lot of performance into a very small vent, to offer greater design flexibility to mobile phone developers.
High flex cables deliver high performance
W. L. Gore & Associates presents its family of high flex cables to meet the semiconductor industry’s growing demand for higher data rate cables in a flexible, lightweight, and cost-effective package. Engineered for complex cleanroom environments, GORE High Flex Cables provide reliable signal integrity for high-speed data transmission in a variety of semiconductor equipment applications.
Low-profile vent targets outdoor electronic enclosures
Designed for easier integration into small (up to 2l) outdoor electronic enclosures, W. L. Gore & Associates has announced the compact, low-profile GORE PolyVent XS. It was developed to meet the growing need to design increasingly-complex electronics into ever-smaller, ever-lighter outdoor enclosures and to more easily integrate robust venting performance that protects device reliability and longevity in the face of harsh environmental c...
High airflow vent suitable for extreme weather conditions
W. L. Gore & Associates announces the launch of its next-gen PolyVent High Airflow, which advances the performance capabilities of GORE Protective Vents Screw-In series. Engineered to handle the large pressure differentials caused by extreme weather conditions, the GOREPolyVent High Airflow provides twice the airflow, with the same reliable ingress protection as Gore’s prior generation of “HA” (High Airflow) vents.
Fibre optics improve aerospace signal transmission
Meeting the civil aerospace industry’s need for reliable high-speed data transmission cables in a durable, lightweight construction, W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) introduces GORE Aerospace Fibre Optic Cables. Engineered with a unique dual-buffering system, the cables withstand challenging environments and deliver excellent signal integrity for high-speed data transmission in wide temperature ranges.
Aerospace cables meet high-speed date transmission demands
In response to advancements in modern airborne digital networks and passenger demands, W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) announced its family of high-speed data cables for civil aerospace applications. These products address the industry’s ever-increasing data needs in aircraft, including passenger in-flight entertainment and essential electronic systems while reducing maintenance downtime and operating costs.
