VxI Power has announced the introduction of a new Modbus TCP/RTU bridge device. Using the IPM01 bridge, power supplies with Modbus RTU communications capability can now be controlled and monitored over the internet, or any other WAN or LAN. The IPM01 acts as a communication bridge between the Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP protocols.

VxI Power has added a compact new 40W model to its Oracle family of battery-backed switch-mode power supplies, which are used in a wide variety of mission-critical applications. VxI Power has expanded its Oracle family of battery-backed switch-mode power supplies with the addition of a new 200W model that features a built-in RS232/RS485 interface and full Modbus functionality, making it particularly suitable for use in telemetry applications.

The new OPP-200 programmable Modbus power supply from Lincoln-based manufacturer VxI Power is designed for use in test and instrumentation systems where accurate control and monitoring are essential. From its compact 3U housing the PSU delivers an output power of 200W, with voltage programmable from 2 to 20V DC in steps as small as 1mV. Output current limit can be preset in 10mA steps up to 10A.

As well as offering environmental protection to IP65, the BCL series chargers produce a regulated and filtered charging voltage that allows them to be connected to a battery for extended periods without overcharging or damaging the battery.

New from Lincoln-based VxI Power is the Studer Compact series of inverter/chargers, which combine the functions of a sine-wave inverter, a battery charger and an automatic transfer system to manage the available power. Designed to provide reliable and silent operation, the inverter/charger connects to an AC mains supply or generator and a 12V, 24V or 48V battery.
