The morning session of the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition will be set off by Professor Tony Pipe, Deputy Director at Bristol Robotics Laboratory, UWE, as he gives a Keynote presentation about the Venturer driverless cars project. The Venturer Consortium, led by SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins, consists of ten public, private and academic experts, including BAE Systems, Williams and Bristol Robotics Laboratory. 

Due to take place at the ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on 27th April 2017, the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) has developed a brand new event for the imaging industry in the UK.

UKIVA will be presenting its most ambitious free seminar programme ever at the Photonex Show on 14th and 15th October, featuring nine presentations. The Keynote Speech, titled: Vision for Autonomous Driving: Challenges and Opportunities will be delivered by Dr Will Maddern from Oxford University at on 14th October. This will explore the demands on vision technology in controlling a vehicle.

No less than 19 UKIVA members are exhibiting at he PPMA Show from 29th September to the 1st October. This is more than twice as many as exhibited in 2014, reflecting the continued importance of vision to the processing and packaging industries. The association is also delighted to announce that a seminar entitled Vision and Robotics - unleashing the potential will take place on the 30th September in the Seminar Zone.
