Accelerating customer prototyping with module dev. kit
TE Connectivity has announced general availability of AmbiMate MS4 sensor module development kits. The kits allow global engineering and development teams to build prototypes and evaluation boards for systems incorporating TE’s AmbiMate MS4 Series sensor modules. “We are seeing lighting and building controls companies around the world moving quickly to incorporate sensors into their systems,” said Jonathan Catchpole, system...
ABB’s ENTRELEC renamed following acquisition
Following the acquisition by TE Connectivity of ABB’s ENTRELEC terminal block business, TE has now formally changed the name of ABB Poland to TE Connectivity Industrial Poland. The change, which is effective immediately, aligns with global efforts to present a unified brand and company for customers.
TE Connectivity completes acquisition
It has been announced by TE Connectivity (TE), a leader in connectivity and sensors, and ABB, a technology leader in electrification products, robotics and motion, industrial automation and power grids, that TE has closed its previously announced acquisition of ABB’s ENTRELEC terminal block business.
Receptacles with ergonomic solution for high volume applications
It has been announced that TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced its pre-insulated POD-LOK receptacle product line. These two in one products combine Positive Lock receptacles with housings meeting the glow wire test and UL 94 V-0 flammability.
Free height connectors deliver faster speeds
It has been announced that TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced its next-gen 0.8mm free height board-to-board connectors, which achieve speeds of 32Gbps and higher. These high speed, mid density mezzanine solutions aim to deliver an excellent price-to-performance ratio and are 56Gbps PAM-4 and PCIe Gen five capable for future upgrades.
Polyimide labels can survive extreme high temperatures
It has been announced that TE Connectivity (TE) is promoting its very high temperature T1K, T2K and TSK labels. The white self-adhesive labels are suited for identifying components and assemblies that will undergo high temperature processes, environments such as soldering on printed circuit boards (PCB), or long periods at elevated temperatures.
Cable assemblies enable high speed data networks
TE Connectivity has extended its modular twisted pair cable assembly offering with new M12 cable assemblies. Conforming to EN45545 HL3 with fire and smoke characteristics, TE’s M12 cable assemblies are suitable for public transportation and other heavy industrial applications. Their rugged design enables them to withstand the vibrations experienced in trains and other demanding environments.
Partnership formed for FPGA boards with high density RF connectors
TE Connectivity (TE), has announced it has partnered with Annapolis Micro Systems, a leading FPGA board and systems supplier, on the release of three of their new high-performance FPGA boards that feature TE’s NanoRF module. The half-size NanoRF is designed to fit into the VITA 67.3 form factor and supports 70GHz bandwidth, with more than double the RF contact density of existing VITA 67 solutions.
Right angle cabled backplane connectors debuted
Recently introduced by connectivity and sensor specialist TE Connectivity (TE), is its new right angle cabled STRADA Whisper backplane connectors. Primarily used to connect graphics processing unit (GPU) to GPU within a switch or server, these connectors save valuable space and allow designers to fit inside an enclosure with the right angle cabled design.
New connectors deliver high current density
The introduction of ELCON Micro power connectors has been announced by TE Connectivity. The connectors deliver high current density in a commonly used industry footprint of 3mm. The new connectors provide 12.5A per pin, making them useful for servers, switches, storage devices and testing machines.
High current connectors for harsh outdoor environments launched
It has been announced that TE Connectivity (TE) has extended its range of Heavy Duty Connectors (HDC) by introducing a series of high current solutions for harsh outdoor environments, suited for applications in new energy, rail as well as power generation and distribution.
Extra-large array socket technology for next-gen data centres
A new extra-large array (XLA) socket technology has been introduced by TE Connectivity (TE). The array aims to provide more reliable performance with 78% better warpage control than traditional molded socket technologies. The XLA socket technology allows TE to design enhanced sockets to support high data speeds in next-gen data centres.
