Tyco Electronics - Metal-shell IP67 Industrial Ethernet connectors
A new IP67-rated metal-shell ODVA-compliant connector from Tyco Electronics allows Industrial Ethernet to be applied in the most rugged environments. The Zamak zinc-alloy metal shell gives additional mechanical strength, while the IP67 sealing protects the interface from liquids, gases, and other contaminants. The connectors meet Category 5e performance requirements.
Tyco Electronics and FCI cross-license power connectors
Tyco Electronics has announced its MINIPAK HDL power distribution connector family has been licensed with FCI. The MINIPAK HDL connector product provides very high power and signal density in a low profile co-planar package that sits less than 9 mm above the PCB surface.
Tyco Electronics wins 2008 supplier of the year from Enics AG
Tyco Electronics has received the 2008 Supplier of the Year Award from Enics AG. The award was presented at the recent Enics Fair 09 in Helsinki, Finland in recognition of Tyco Electronics’ exceptional operational performance, as well as the company’s strong account management and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Tyco adds single row headers to VAL-U-LOK connector line
Tyco Electronics has expanded its popular VAL-U-LOK connector family with single-row, board-mount headers in both vertical and right-angle configurations. The header assemblies come with pre-loaded contacts and may be installed on the printed circuit board manually or automatically using robotic equipment. All housings are polarized for easier mating, and locking latches help maintain reliable connections.
Pre-terminated copper cabling solutions for office networks and data centres
The Sigma-Link system from the AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics is a range of pre-terminated high-speed copper cabling solutions designed for ease of installation in office networks and data centres.
Tyco Electronics adds wire-to-board capability to LED connector line
Tyco Electronics has introduced wire-to-board plug connectors and board-to-board connectors to its family of hermaphroditic blade and receptacle connectors. The connectors are designed to make connecting of aluminium-clad printed circuit boards, commonly used for LED lighting applications that include lighting controls and LED light modules, faster and easier.
Tyco Electronics releases oval heat-shrink cable marker sleeve
The semi-flattened oval shape of the new TTMS-MP cable marker sleeves makes it faster and easier to slip onto cables, thereby speeding installation. Designed for computer-based printing using a T2000CT printer, the heat-shrink marker sleeves are supplied in large packs—typically 50 or 100 meters—to minimize spool changes during a print run. The product format makes TTMS-MP identification tubing suitable for applications where in-sequence kitt...
Tyco Electronics expands line of power-entry modules
Tyco Electronics has announced the addition of a 10A version of its Corcom GG series general-purpose and HG series medical filtered power-entry modules. A 5-inch (127 mm) wire lead option has also been introduced for the HG medical modules to aid in module installation. Previously, the lines were offered in ratings of 1, 3, and 6 amps.
Tyco Electronics introduces 40 Gb/s active optical cable assemblies
Tyco Electronics has announced the introduction of its new 40 Gb/s Quad Data Rate (QDR) speed PARALIGHT cable assemblies in a Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP) connector format. This new cable assembly can run up to 100 meters, although longer lengths may be possible and are being evaluated.
Tyco enhances heat shrink marker sleeve line
The new TMS 90 SCE heat-shrink marker sleeves meet the high-performance wire and cable marking needs of industries from aerospace, defence, marine, rail and mass transit to industrial and electronics sectors. The marker sleeves are designed to operate in high-temperature environments requiring high mechanical strength, protection from prolonged temperature exposure, and fluid resistance at high temperatures.
New PCB power connector from Tyco Electronics
Tyco's new Stacked ICCON power connector increases power densities in high-end data and telecommunications equipment. With a current-carrying capacity of 50 amps in a compact footprint, the Stacked ICCON connector provides a quick-connect/disconnect function for space constrained motherboard-daughterboard, cable-board and board-bus bar power delivery applications. The stacked configuration provides two ports vertically stacked to preserve real ...
Multi-Function Digital Metering System Offers New Enclosure Options
Under its Crompton Instruments brand, Tyco Electronics has recently released a new Tegra multi-function digital metering system (DMS) in a small DIN 72 and 4-module DIN-rail case for all low and medium voltage switchgear and distribution systems. Benefiting from its compact design and new enclosure options, the Tegra DMS displays up to 57 electrical parameters and complements the Integra series of digital metering systems. To suit user requiremen...
Tyco Electronics adds glow-wire compatibility in VAL-U-LOK connector line
The VAL-U-LOK connector family from Tyco Electronics now includes housings that meet the requirements of IEC 60335-1 for glow-wire ignition temperature and glow-wire flammability index. IEC 60335-1 addresses safety requirements in household appliances. While the standard applies primarily to appliances sold in Europe, demand for glow-wire-compatible housing is growing worldwide as manufacturers look to meet global market requirements.
Tyco's connector brings power to LEDs
This SMT thru-board connector from Tyco provides a means to bring power from the underside of an FR4 or aluminium-clad pc board, eliminating issues of dressing wires on the top side of LED boards. The 2-position through 6-position connector surface-mounts on the top of the board, passing through the board to present an underside interface. The connector mates with standard Mini CT connectors. The inverted design allows simpler assembly and inst...
