Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a highly integrated and compact Bluetooth controller LSI that delivers high-speed operation and ultra-low power consumption for the latest automotive system designs. Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced it will launch a new series of image recognition processors for automotive applications. The Visconti2 (TMPV7500) series of image recognition processors is designed for camerabased vision applications used in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These include applications for lane departure warnings, vehicle and pedestrian awareness, traffic signal recognition and parking assistance.

Toshiba Launches Wireless IC Compliant with TransferJetTM Close Proximity Wireless Transfer Technology

Toshiba announced it will launch a single chip IC that is compliant with the TransferJet standard for close proximity wireless transfer technology. Samples will start shipping at the end of January 2012 and mass production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter (April-June) of 2012.

Toshiba to Launch SDHC Memory Card with Embedded Wireless LAN Communications

Toshiba Electronics Europe today announced that it will launch the world’s first SDHC memory card with embedded wireless LAN functionality to meet the SD Memory Card Standard. The new memory card, FlashAir™, supports peer-topeer transfers and uploads to and downloads from servers. It will initially be available in 8GB capacity. Samples will be available from November and sales will start in February 2012.
