Robust probes handle heavy duty testing
A series of spring contact probes specifically designed for heavy-duty testing applications such as automotive cable harnesses has been introduced by Peak Test Services. The P61/G probe is threaded so it may be securely screwed into the test fixture, and equipped with a gold-plated steel spring to ensure the tip makes accurate contact with the subject component, maximising the capture area and minimising damage to the probe or the component.
Test alliance offers European ICT support
A new partnership aims to offer test system customers a one-stop-shop for consistent quality design, implementation and support across the UK, Central and Eastern Europe. The Peak Group and Equip-Test of Hungary will offer geographic support across the UK, Central and Eastern Europe, helping designers and manufacturers to integrate operations across the continent.
RF contact probe targets high-speed data connectors
The new P819 from Peak Test Services is a spring contact probe specifically designed for contacting HSD (high-speed data) connectors in RF applications. The probe is equipped with a calyx spring for optimised guiding of the probe onto the connector. The conical insertion configuration of the circular contact and the position of the calyx spring provide an optimum set-up for maximising the capture area and minimising damage to the probe or the con...
Screw-in test probe for cable harness testing
The new P53/G from Peak Test Services is a series of screw-in threaded test probes designed for use in test modules for cable harness testing. The new compact probe has a total length of only 25.2 mm inclusive of receptacle. It is designed for use at 2.54 mm centres, has a continuity resistance of 20 milliohms, and operates at currents up to 5 A.
Test probes position sensor supplies exact measurements
Now available from Peak Test Services are a range of test probes which features a built-in position sensor system designed to provide an exact measurement of the distance travelled by the probe in contacting the test item. They are designed for measuring parameters such as pin lengths, component heights or the depth of drill holes in wire harnesses and connectors.
High-current test probe embraces many applications
The new HSP865-C from Peak Test Services is a high-current test probe designed to handle currents of up to 50A DC. Originally developed for battery test applications, the design of the new device makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including high-temperature testing at up to +250°C and use as a holding-down device with a force of up to 530 cN.
Fixture interface expands boundary scan portfolio
A new boundary-scan fixture interface has been added to the Peak Group’s portfolio of automatic test systems based on its partnerships with National Instruments (NI), GOEPEL electronic and Virginia Panel Corporation (VPC). The new PXI 1149/VPC(x) Pull-Thru receiver ensures an outstanding signal quality in the interface between GOEPEL electronic's PXI/PXIe SCANFLEX Boundary Scan controllers and test fixtures, and completely eliminates ...
Automatic test partnerships bear fruit at PXI show
The Peak Group is using the 2015 PXI exhibition (April 21-22) at the NEC, Birmingham to showcase a number of new products to its automatic test systems based on partnerships with National Instruments (NI), GOEPEL electronic and Virginia Panel Corporation (VPC). A major new product is a simplified fixture interface for boundary scan using a new VPC Pull-Thru receiver from GOEPEL electronic.
