Getting started with TI's WiLink 8 WiFi + Bluetooth modules
The WL1835MODCOM8 Kit for Sitara EVMs easily enables customers to add WiFi and Bluetooth to embedded applications based on TI's Sitara microprocessors. TI’s WiLink 8 WiFi + Bluetooth modules are pre-certified and offer high throughput and extended range along with WiFi and Bluetooth coexistence in a power-optimised design.
Sensor transponder generates an IoT-ready solution
A flexible, high frequency 13.56MHz sensor transponder family, claimed to be the industry’s first, has been released by Texas Instruments. The RF430FRL15xH SoC family combines an ISO 15693-compliant NFC interface with a programmable MCU, non-volatile FRAM, an ADC and SPI or I2C interface.
MCUs' diagnostic features establish a 'safe island'
To reduce the time and effort OEMs spend taking their products through certification, Texas Instruments has introduced the Hercules TMS570LS12x/11x and RM46x MCUs.
Motor drivers reduce spin-up time to just seconds
Reducing spin-up time to just seconds, a 12V motor driver family has been introduced by Texas Instruments. Making tuning stepper and brushed DC motors easier, the DRV8846 driver integrates a proprietary adaptive current control technology that automatically tunes motor performance. By using a simple PWM control interface and minimal external components, the DRV8848 simplifies designs.
Display chipset facilitates 1080p HD projection
Based on proven DLP Cinema technology used in more than 80% of digital theatres, the 0.47” TRP Full-HD 1080p chipset for video and data display applications is sampling to Texas Instruments' third-party developer network. It is the smallest TI chipset capable of generating brighter, more efficient HD projection displays from small form-factor electronics.
Achieve 84% efficiency for 10W wireless charging
Texas Instruments provides a more efficient charging solution with what is claimed to be the industry’s first integrated 10W wireless charging receiver and corresponding transmitter. The bq51025 and bq500215 enable waterproof and dustproof portable designs and provide a faster, cooler charge to one- and two-cell (1S and 2S) Li-Ion batteries.
What will you create with TI's Haptics Technology?
This video demonstrates the potential industrial, home, office, personal and automotive applications where haptics can improve machine and human interaction.
FDAs bring AC performance to DC-coupled applications
Two FDAs (Fully Differential Amplifiers), which provide DC-coupled applications with AC performance to improve system capabilities and overall performance, have been released by Texas Instruments. According to the company, the LMH3401 and LMH5401 FDAs provide higher bandwidth and slew rate, and lower distortion than existing ADC drivers.
electronica plays host to TI's Innovation Challenge
Today, at electronica (14th November), the results of the Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge - Europe Analog Design Contest 2014 were announced. New VDE digital isolation standard is a game-changer
For more than two decades, a standard for optocouplers has proven isolation in almost all applications and equipment that demand secure separation of electrical circuits from high-voltage events. The baseline was the German VDE 0884 standard, finalised in 1987, and the international standard IEC 60747-5, which followed soon after. By Werner Berns and Kannan Soundarapandian, Texas Instruments.
Reinforced isolation meets highest industrial performance
Texas Instruments today introduced digital isolation and delta-sigma modulator families that offer reinforced isolation to help protect electronic equipment from high line voltages. The ISO7842 family provides the industry’s highest immunity reinforced isolators and the first to withstand an isolation barrier with a working breakdown voltage of 1,500 Vrms for a minimum lifetime of 40 years. The AMC1304 delta-sigma modulator family offers be...
