AC/DC power supplies offer efficiencies of up to 94%
TDK has announced the introduction of the TDK-Lambda CUS200M series of AC/DC power supplies. With efficiencies up to 94%, the series can deliver 200W with convection cooling or up to 250W with 1.5m/s airflow. The units, packaged in the industry standard 3x5” footprint, have both medical and ITE certification to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60950-1 regulatory standards.
TDK-Lambda AC/DC power supply range
TDK-Lambda's video showcases extensive range of AC/DC power supplies suitable for a wide variety of applications including industrial, medical, test and measurement and renewable TDK-Lambda's CUS350M range of AC/DC power supplies is approved for use in many medical applications.
Running power supplies from portable generators
Outdoor events now use multiple, large display screens and a host of other electronics, and portable diesel generator sets often provide the AC power in temporary locations. By Andrew Skinner, TDK-Lambda EMEA
Configurable supplies have medical certification
Configurable power supplies from TDK-Lambda are the first 1,200 to 1,500W-rated versions to have full Means of Patient Protection (MoPP) isolation. The QM series of AC/DC power supplies are also claimed to have the lowest acoustic noise at that power level, for use in medical or healthcare environments.
High efficiency AC/DC power modules are rated up to 1000W
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the PFE1000FA series of power modules, representing a significant upgrade to the PFE1000F launched eight years ago. The series offers efficiencies as high as 90%, an improvement of up to 4%. Rated between 720W and 1000W, the products are designed for use with a cold-plate where cooling fans are not permitted, including industrial, MIL-COTS and communications applications.
POL DC/DC converter delivers 20A from 5 & 12V bus voltages
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iBH series of 80W, 20A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC/DC converters, featuring a wide 0.7V to 5.5V output adjustment range. The iBH converters can operate from either 5V or 12Vdc bus voltages, having a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 14V, reducing inventory carrying costs by stocking just one part number.
120W DC/DC converters are suited for harsh environments
TDK has announced the 12, 24 and 28V output HQA DC/DC converters, with additional output voltage models to be added in the coming months. Packaged in a ruggedised quarter brick form factor, the encapsulated HQA120 models can deliver 120W output power and will operate over a 9 to 40V input range (50V for 1 second). These 89% efficient converters are suitable for use in COTS, communications and industrial equipment.
Wide range non-isolated DC/DC converter series extended with new models
The introduction of two further models to the TDK-Lambda i6A series of step-down, non-isolated DC-DC converters has been announced by TDK Corporation. The i6A4W is capable of supplying currents of up to 20A, and the i6AN allows the creation of negative voltages delivering currents up to 8A.
EMC filter offers exceptional differential mode performance
TDK-Lambda has announced the introduction of the iDQ series of 10A, 48VDC nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters are suited for use with DC/DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving PCB space. Rated for a maximum voltage of 75VDC, the iDQ has a differential mode attenuation of 63dB at 300kHz measured with a 50Ω source and load impedance.
