MOSFETs enable smaller, greener automotive power supplies
An AEC-Q101-qualified family of high-voltage N-channel power MOSFETs has been introduced by STMicroelectronics for automotive applications. The devices are built using ST’s state-of-the-art MDmesh DM2 super-junction technology with fast-recovery diode, feature a breakdown voltage over the 400-650V range and are housed in D2PAK, TO-220 and TO-247 packages.
ST to use Semtech’s LoRa RF tech for IoT deployments

New Automotive Multi-Regulators from STMicroelectronics
A new series of highly integrated automotive-grade power-management devices from STMicroelectronics incorporates multiple voltage regulators on a single die, allowing manufacturers of car-infotainment systems to reduce the cost and size of their products. The first member of the new series, the L5963, integrates two switching regulators for step-down DC-DC conversion, a linear low-dropout regulator, and a high-side driver.
