Embedded PCM for automotive MCUs begin sampling

ST's products based on ePCM are sampling now to alpha customers, with field trials meeting the requirements of automotive applications and full technology qualification expected in 2020.

Energy-saving low-noise LDO regulator powers automotive modules

For always-on automotive modules and noise-sensitive loads, STMicroelectronics has released the LDO40L 400mA low-dropout linear regulator, which delivers quiet and efficient power. With 45µA quiescent current, the AEC-Q100 qualified LDO40L reduces the demand on vehicle batteries to run loads such as body and interior functions that are active when the ignition is off.

Tiny coin-shaped development kit delivers sensor fusion

The core of a new all-in-one IoT-node development kit from STMicroelectronics, is called the BlueNRG-Tile. The very small tile/coin is built around ST’s BlueNRG-2 Bluetooth low energy 5.0 single-mode system-on-chip (SoC) that provides control and processing power to a full complement of sensors, while also communicating via Bluetooth with a free iOS or Android demo app on a nearby smartphone.

Six-Axis IMU added to ultra-low-power MEMS sensors

A new six axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from STMicroelectronics, the ISM330DLC, has extended STMicroelectronics’ family of ultra-low power MEMS sensors for industrial applications, which combine high accuracy and robustness with long-term availability assured by ST’s ten-year longevity program.
