Stontronics will join Stadium’s Technology Products division and work closely alongside their existing Power Products business, Stadium Power.

Stadium Group has agreed to acquire Stontronics, a manufacturer and distributor of power supply units, transformers and adaptors, for £6.5m. Stontronics power products business will strengthen Stadium’s existing business and the deal fits with Stadium’s strategy of making targeted, complementary acquisitions which strengthen its technology offering, as well as providing synergies and cross-selling opportunities.
Investment pays manufacturing capability dividends
Stadium Group has announced that its iEMS division continues to invest significantly in key equipment to bolster manufacturing capabilities at its centres in Dongguan, China and Hartlepool, UK. The investments made in 2014 include an SMT assembly line installed at the Hartlepool facility, along with equipment from DEK (Screen Print), Assembleon (AX range of Pick and Place) and Vitronics Soltec (Reflow) to compliment existing SMT capability.
