Liquid level switches support higher supply voltages
As it strengthens its widely-used Optomax portfolio of accurate, cost-effective and reliable infra-red (IR) liquid level switches, SST Sensing is now offering the Optomax Industrial series. These devices offer the same functionality and operational performance as customers have come to expect from standard Optomax switches, but with the added advantage of greater overall electrical robustness and flexibility.
Solid state oxygen sensors gain sealed housing options
In order to address ambient and flow-through applications, SST Sensing have introduced two new housings for the LuminOx range of sensors. Developed and manufactured by SST, the LuminOx family are factory-calibrated oxygen sensors that measure oxygen levels using the principle of luminescence quenching.
Heavy duty liquid level switch with glass sensor tip
Developer and manufacturer of fluid and gas sensing solutions, SST Sensing, has released its Optomax Industrial Glass devices which are targeted at installation within harsh industrial environments. Thanks to their stainless steel construction and glass sensor tip, these single point liquid level switches exhibit elevated operational robustness. As a result, these devices are suited to applications where they are exposed to ex...
Liquid sensor devices protect Telecom equipment
With a large proportion of telecom infrastructure being located outdoors, it will regularly be exposed to adverse weather conditions. The threat of rainwater ingress is something that telecom companies need to safeguard against, as the damage that ensues can have dire consequences - resulting in prolonged service interruptions and costly repair work. Carrying out systematic inspections can often be difficult, due to the large human resources need...
Addressing the challenges of transporting perishable goods
In order to lengthen their storage life, fruit and vegetables are often transported inside refrigerated containers where a controlled atmosphere (with reduced oxygen content) has been applied. Instrumental in maintaining this is the acquisition of accurate data concerning the oxygen levels present on an ongoing basis. As a recognised specialist in advanced oxygen monitoring technology, SST Sensing has numerous products in its portfolio that are t...
SST announces qualification of embedded SuperFlash
Microchip Technology, through its Silicon Storage Technology (SST) subsidiary, announced qualification and availability of SST’s third generation embedded SuperFlash (ESF3) non-volatile memory (NVM) on 110 nm CMOS platform. SST’s embedded SuperFlash memory solution offers low power, high reliability, superior data retention and high endurance benefits to smartcard, MCU and other flash-enabled specialised IC designers with a cost-...
SST & Sparkfun collaborate on sensing hardware
In order to address the vibrant and constantly expanding maker market, SST Sensing Ltd. has partnered up with Sparkfun. Together they have developed and simple to implement solution for single point liquid detection using infrared technology. This highly reliable and accurate solution comprises an Optomax Digital liquid level switch which is connected to an Arduino board via the TTL output and powered by its 5V source.
Compact liquid level switches deliver low power operation
A series of liquid level switches has been developed by SST Sensing, the Optomax Digital. These cost-effective and simple-to-use devices have the capacity to detect almost any liquid type (whether it is oil or water based).
Solid state oxygen sensors address ecological Demands
Recognised as a leading supplier of advanced gas and fluid sensor technology, SST Sensing offers a comprehensive array of oxygen measurement devices. Complementing the company’s high performance Zirconia product offering, the LuminOx family uses proprietary solid state technology to deliver sensors with the cost effectiveness found in commonly-used electrochemical oxygen sensors, but with a series of key additional benefits.
