Teledyne Technologies amalgamates SP Devices
Alongside its acquisition of e2v, Teledyne Technologies has announced that SP Devices is now operating as a part of the instrumentation segment of Teledyne under the brand name of Teledyne SP Devices. Within Teledyne, SP Devices expands its technology access, engineering excellence, and know-how, thereby reinforcing capabilities and services as well as its long-term supplier commitments to customers of embedded digitisers and modular instruments.
14-bit digitiser provides 10GS/s sampling rate
A digitiser that offers a combination of 14-bits vertical resolution and a sampling rate of up to 10GS/s has been launched by SP Devices, the ADQ7. Following the success of SP Devices’ ADQ14 digitiser, the ADQ7 has been optimised to provide a higher sampling rate, larger Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), increased memory and data transfer rate and a higher bandwidth analogue front-end.
Digitiser is designed for measurements of low-level noise
A dual-channel, 14-bit, 400 MS/s digitiser optimised for excellent noise performance has been introduced by SP Devices. Alongside a low-noise DC-coupled analogue front-end with high dynamic range, the ADQ214-DCLN features on-board real-time decimation which effectively increases the resolution of the digitiser and allows for detailed and highly accurate study of lower frequency signals without the need of capturing massive amounts of data.
10Gb Ethernet card supports up to x8 Gen2 PCIe
A dual 10Gb Ethernet card that enables fast network connection from a cPCIe/PXIe chassis to an external host computer has been introduced by SP Devices. The ADQ10GBE, which occupies a single slot in an 3U cPCIe/PXIe chassis, can be used with backplanes supporting up to x8 Gen2 PCIe. All necessary software drivers are included and can be installed on the PXIe controller. Compatible OSs include Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 and Linux.
