Infrared camera captures colour video in pitch black
Sharp has developed the industry's first infrared colour night-vision camera capable of capturing colour video in pitch-black (zero lux) environments, the LZ0P420A. The infrared colour night-vision camera will be marketed to corporate customers such as security camera system manufacturers.
Panel accepts simultaneous inputs from multiple styluses
Sharp has developed a touch-panel system that allows multiple handwriting pens (styluses) to be used simultaneously to input text and lines in varying colours and thicknesses. Sharp aims to quickly commercialise the system, which represents a handwriting input method for interactive whiteboards. Handwritten input from a particular stylus can be selected and deleted as desired.
First Single Point LED Lighting Array With Tuneable Colour Output
Ismosys, Sharp Microelectronics’ pan-European sales & marketing representative, has begun sampling the latest addition to the company’s innovative Zenigata family of chip-on-board (COB) LED lighting arrays. The Tiger Zenigata LED array is the first single point light source to feature ‘tuneable’ colour temperature output.
Sharp launches 15 inch initiative with industrial displays
With two new variants (LQ150X1LW12 and LQ150X1LG11) Sharp now expands its range of industrial TFT LCDs with a diagonal of 15 (38.0 cm) to four models. The displays are characterised by their respective contrast ratios of 1000:1 and 800:1 - a basis for brilliant image reproduction - which in both cases is also due to the 16.8 million colours. The LQ150X1LW12 model also has a wide viewing angle of 170° in all directions, making it ideal for all sc...
New Mini Zenigata LED arrays with 1150 – 1550 Lumen
The new Mini Zenigata arrays of type GW5BxxxK05 provide a luminous flux between 1150 and 1550 lm (typical) with a light output of up to 99 lm/W in standard operation. The new generation of the 15 W modules is specified for a forward voltage of 39 V with a constant current of 400 mA. However, you can also operate the 15 W arrays with increased constant current of up to 440 mA to achieve a luminous flux of up to 1,650 lm. The 48 dies of the Mini Ze...
Sharp presents a new generation of its Mini Zenigata LEDs
The new product generation is again based on a small plate made of technical ceramics (aluminium oxide Al2O3) with the dimensions 15mm x 12mm x 1.6mm. Efficiency was able to be improved by up to 11% due to technical progress. The new generation of 4 and 7W arrays is characterised by four properties: Compact, light, economical and noticeably brighter than before.
Spot on, clear the stage for Sharp's Zenigata LED portfolio
50W / CRI of up to 93 / up to 7,000 lm – these are the key parameters of the new Mega Zenigata LED module series presented by Sharp (Hall 4.2 / Stand J71) as a highlight at the Light + Building in Frankfurt am Main. Thanks to its highly-developed array production, the company offers a portfolio of more than 100 LED modules in finely graded performance classes. Depending on brightness, the LED modules are based on a different number of dies. Thi...
Sharp Expands High Brightness Display Line-Up
Introducing a new 12.1'' (31 cm) industrial TFT LCD Sharp expands its series of high brightness displays with a very robust model: The LQ121S1DC71 is designed for an expanded ambient temperature range from -15° C to 75° C and also withstands higher mechanical loads caused by impacts and vibrations with a backlight operation life of 50,000 hours.
Sharp presents New XXL Signage Display Solutions
With the new e-Signage series, Sharp gets started in 2012 by concentrating on diagonals between 60 and 80 inches. The portfolio includes high-brightness screens with up to 2,000 cd/m², ultra high resolution displays, and large-size standard LCDs that are especially optimised for applications in the signage sector.
Sharp presents the new generation of 10W LED arrays
The new product generation is based on the technical advances made in LED production, improving the efficiency by up to 47%. The 2nd generation of the 10W arrays has four distinguishing features in this regard: they are compact, lightweight, economical and significantly brighter than before.
Sharp - new Industrial Displays with LED Backlight
With two new models in the 5.7 inch (14,4 cm) and 8.4 inch (21 cm) categories, Sharp continues to enhance its portfolio of backlit LED industrial displays. The target applications of the new industrial TFT LCDs are mainly testing and measuring instruments, portable medical monitoring devices and building automation systems.
Sharp Develops and Introduces New Proximity Sensor*1 with Integrated Ambient Light Sensor
Sharp Corporation has developed and will introduce the new GP2AP020A00F proximity sensor with integrated ambient light sensor. Ideal for use in smartphones and other mobile devices, it has the industry’s smallest package size (4.0 x 2.0 x 1.2 (H) mm) and is one of the best products in the industry for detecting extremely low levels of light.
Sharp Introduces Four LED-backlit LCDs for Industrial Applications
Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas has announced four new additions to its large format LED-backlit LCD product line. These TFT-LCDs include two panels in the 10.4-inch class, one 12.1-inch panel re-issue, and one 15.0-inch panel. The LCDs are ideal for industrial applications including Factory Automation, Gaming, Medical Devices, Point of Sale (POS) Terminals, Transportation, Test and Measurement, and many others.
See more, drive safer
Sharp is presenting one of the smallest CMOS camera modules worldwide for automotive applications. Due to the housing volume of just 7 cc, the camera can be hidden almost anywhere in the outer skin of vehicles.
High-brightness display line-up for outdoor use
Sharp has extended its industrial display portfolio with two high-brightness models with 19-inch (48 cm) and 23-inch (59 cm) diagonal screens, LED backlighting, and a service life of up to 50,000 hours
