SMD fuses qualified by the ESA for use in space
Following an intensive evaluation and qualification process in cooperation with representatives of the European Space and Research and Technology Center (ESTEC), SCHURTER's HCSF fuse has been certified. Eight years after the successful qualification of the MGA-S, SCHURTER is the only European supplier of fuses with this qualification.
IEC outlet features IDC terminals to speed assembly
SCHURTER announces its latest IEC appliance outlet with insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminals, the 4710. The outlet provides increased power ratings over the popular 6610 series for heavier duty PDU applications. The 4710 is a J style outlet according to IEC 60320, rated 20A at 250VAC by UL/CSA and 16A at 250VAC by ENEC.
Metal line switches feature multicoloured illumination
SCHURTER is expanding its PSE, piezo metal switch and MCS 30, mechanical metal switch series, with new illumination possibilities powered by variable input voltages. Based on the used RGB colour technology, it’s now possible to indicate up to seven illumination colour options with just one switch. The variable power supply offers a homogenous and brilliant illumination within a voltage range of 5 to 28VDC.
Compact power entry module with filter features ground line choke
SCHURTER’s popular power entry module, KFA series, is now equipped with an additional ground line choke to suppress high frequency interference arising from ground loops on the ground line. In addition, the recently added ground line choke improves asymmetric attenuation in higher frequencies in medical filter versions.
Components with elevated glow-wire ratings
When it comes to household appliances used in unattended operation, the provisions of standard IEC 60335-1 have placed higher requirements regarding Glow-Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT). These more stringent requirements thus also apply to installed components such as power sockets, fuse holders and connectors. For this reason, all components carrying current must meet the requirements of glow-wire tests as specified in IEC 60695-2-12 and -13.
Switch is approved for use in explosive atmospheres
SCHURTER develops and manufactures state of the art switch and pushbutton technologies including microswitches, piezo elements, switches with mechanical actuation, metal pushbuttons and keypads as well as display elements. A key focus is Metal Line. With the certification in accordance to ATEX and IECEx, the first switch from the PSE family is now approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres containing air and gases. This is available wi...
Switches available with raised symbols, letters & numbers
SCHURTER has announced that its PSE HI switches can now be delivered with raised symbols, letters and numbers in addition to various colours, or legend inscriptions. The switches feature an anodised aluminium surface that can be pre-formed with raised symbols for long-term wear and excellent user haptics.
Power entry module offers IP54 & IP65 protection
SCHURTER is pleased to announce that its power entry module series 5707 now offers IP54 protection with V-Lock cord sets at the power input, in addition to IP65 protection to the equipment. The sealed module is suitable for use in medical equipment exposed to leaks, drips and spills, as well as equipment subject to routine washing.
Switch uses a ceramic actuation surface
Expanding its popular MSM family of pushbutton switches, SCHURTER has released the MSM LA CS. The biocompatible ON/Off metal switch uses a ceramic actuation surface and can be backlit across the entire surface, making it both visually attractive and especially robust.
Universal modular fuse offers 1500A breaking capacity
SCHURTER’s Universal Modular fuse, UMT-H, offers a 1500A breaking capacity at rated voltages of 277VAC / 250VDC. The compact, high performance fuse now has VDE approval in addition to UL approval. This time-lag fuse provides overcurrent and short circuit protection in various industrial control applications, including intrinsically safe applications.
Block filters offer high symmetrical attenuation
Designed for single-phase systems, the FMAB NEO series of block filters has been released by SCHURTER. The devices combine a compact design with a high level of performance.
PCAP touch controller features 10-finger multi-touch
SCHURTER and Danielson have expanded their range of capacitive touch solutions to include a controller for projective-capacitive touchscreens, designed to satisfy industrial requirements. Together with EETI, this controller was developed to meet the increasing market demand for capacitive technology.
Pulse resistant fuses designed for automated assembly
A range of pulse resistant fuses and matching holders have been introduced by SCHURTER. The range is comprised of the UMF 250, UMT 250, UMZ 250, UMK 250, UMT-H. The matching fuse holders are glow wire resistant and suitable for reflow soldering.
Inlet & cord connectors for high temperature environments
Extending its range of high-temperature power inlets and outlets which meet IEC/UL 60320, SCHURTER has announced the 1681 series appliance inlets, as well as the 1658 and 1659 series straight and angled cord connectors. The devices are designed for use in equipment that operates in elevated ambient temperatures and/or with high currents, such as datacomms and portable industrial equipment such as heating systems.
Laser etched legends protect switches against wear
The PSE HI piezo switches, manufactured by SCHURTER, are now available with raised symbols, letters and numbers in addition to various colours, or legend inscriptions. The switch surface is made of anodised aluminium, which can be pre-formed with variety of standard legends and/or raised symbols to indicate function.
Shock-safe SMD fuseholder features stabilising posts
Providing increased stability during board assembly and fuse replacement, SCHURTER has announced that ts FPG7 shock-safe SMD fuseholder is now equipped with two stabilising posts. The company have claimed that this is the only shock-safe SMD fuseholder on the market for 5x20 mm cartridge fuses.
Fuse inserter, extractor and cover in one
With the ESO 10.3x38, SCHURTER introduces a multifunctional fuse cover for use on printed circuit boards. The ESO 10.3x38 can be used simultaneously as an inserter, extractor and cover for fuses. Designed for use with SCHURTER’s CSO fuse clips, and the ASO 10.3x38 fuse, the combination provides touch-safe circuit protection up to 1500V DC.
