Converters and battery chargers designed for extreme conditions
A series of 850W DC/DC and AC/DC converter modules and battery chargers has been designed by Schaefer. The C/B3500 series utilises industrial grade components, and the compact and robust 6U design provides a highly efficient, space-saving solution for the most extreme environments including a variety of on-board (74VDC-110 or 24VDC) and wayside installations (115VAC-12 or 24VDC).

Pure sine wave inverters meet rail standards
A series of pure sine wave inverters, which provide up to 3000VA of power, has been released by Schaefer. The PRP-3000 series of inverters features models that meet industrial and rail standards. Standard input voltages of 24, 36, 48, 72 and 110VDC are inverted to adjustable 120VAC or 230VAC outputs that are regulated to 4% or better. Units can be configured for three phase synchronisation.

Offered in 700, 1200 and 2000W outputs, the TERa power supplies operate across a wide temperature range of –50 to +85°C. For higher power or redundancy, the devices can be operated in parallel.

Operating over a wide temperature range from -60 to +125°С, the TEC-100 and TEC-200 series isolated DC/DC converters are designed for industrial applications and harsh environment conditions. Designed to meet IEEE-519, the PB-W (Wall-Mount) Series of three-wire and four-wire active (3x200VAC to 3x480VAC) harmonic filter modular systems has been announced by Schaefer.
