The UK electronics sector experienced the fastest growth of any manufacturing sector in 2018, according to a new report by Santander and Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation. Despite representing less than five percent of UK manufacturing output, the sector generated £19.4bn in turnover and £8.4bn in gross value added (GVA) in 2017.

Swapping the F1 paddock for fried haddock, British racing driver Jenson Button has taken the wheel of Santander’s scam-busting Phish & Chips van and served fresh fish and chips to the public in exchange for phishing emails and smishing texts. As Santander’s brand ambassador, Jenson is throwing his weight behind the bank’s national campaign to help the public avoid being scammed by phishing emails and smishing messages.
