RRC Power Solutions released the upgraded version of their RRC-PMM240 power management module. Compared to the earlier version the standby current decreased to a typical 1mA resulting in a longer battery life.

RRC has enhanced its standard battery pack series to include a single-cell prismatic Li-Ion battery. It is characterised by a slim and compact design with high energy density. The special feature of this 1S1P configuration consists of the use of smart technology features in combination with a prismatic Li-ion cell.

RRC has announced three new standard Li-Ion SMBus battery packs RRC2040, RRC2024 and RRC2040. These new battery packs will have highest energy density of smart compatible batteries in the market. The energy content for two of the battery packs: the RRC2020 and RRC2024, are now optimally rated close to the 100 watt limit that exists in terms of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance.

RRC has developed a new universal battery charger for SMBus batteries, called the RRC-SMB-UBC. With an output of 65 watts, it works with RRC’s standard batteries, such as the RRC2020, 2024, 2040, and with other smart batteries with similar footprints as well for example 202x range, 204x range, 205x range, DR36, etc..
