White chip LEDs with high luminous intensity
ROHM has developed ultra-compact high luminous intensity white chip LEDs, called CSL1104WB. The products are optimised for applications requiring high brightness white light emission, such as IoT devices, drones, and other battery equipped applications.
32bit D/A converter IC for Hi-Fi audio equipment
ROHM has announced the new BD34301EKV, a 32bit D/A converter IC designed for high fidelity audio equipment – capable of high-resolution playback of audio sources. At the same time, ROHM also provides BD34301EKV-EVK-001 evaluation boards to test the performance of ROHM’s new IC that is sold via distributor channels.
ROHM appoints Wolfram Harnack as new President
As of April 1st, 2021, ROHM Semiconductor Europe has appointed Wolfram Harnack as the company's new President. The former President, Toshimitsu Suzuki, will lead the European Sales Division as General Manager from April 1st from the company's headquarters in Japan. Wolfram Harnack joined ROHM Semiconductor Europe GmbH as Managing Director in October 2020.
P-channel MOSFETs deliver low ON resistance
ROHM has released a 24-model lineup of -40V/-60V withstand voltage P-channel MOSFETs available in both single (RQxxxxxAT/RDxxxxxAT/RSxxxxxAT/RFxxxxxAT) and dual configurations (UTxxx5/QHxxx5/SHxxx5) – well suited for industrial and consumer applications such as factory automation, robotics, and air conditioning systems.
Power supply architectures for isolated gate drivers

New ROHM building in Chikugo expands production capacity
ROHM has recently held an opening ceremony announcing the completion of a new building at ROHM Apollo's Chikugo plant to enhance the production capacity of SiC power devices. ROHM’s newly introduced 125°C operation compatible I²C bus EEPROMs, BR24H-5AC series targets applications that require data storage under harsh environments, such as factory settings for onboard cameras and sensors, airbag operating history, and data logging for always-on operating industrial automation systems and servers.
Increasing the output of spatial recognition systems
ROHM’s newly developed VCSEL technology achieves greater accuracy in spatial recognition and distance measuring systems by using Time Of Flight (TOF) systems. The VCSEL (short for vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser) module technology has become popular in recent years with the adoption of laser light sources for spatial recognition in tablets and facial recognition in smartphones.
Automotive primary DC/DC converters for stable operation
ROHM has developed a new lineup of twelve automotive primary DC/DC converters. The BD9P series is optimised for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) sensors, cameras, and radars, along with car infotainment and instrument clusters.

Isao Matsumoto appointed as new President and CEO at ROHM
The Board of Directors of ROHM has appointed Isao Matsumoto as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of ROHM. Matsumoto has worked for ROHM since 1985. Most recently he was responsible for quality, safety and production as Director, Member of the Board and Managing Executive Officer.

ROHM and Leadrive develop SiC-based automotive inverters
