At MWC Barcelona 2022 Rohde & Schwarz is showcasing its range of automotive 5G and C-V2X test solutions for development in the lab and verification in the field to ensure the performance and reliability of critical automotive communications.

Rohde & Schwarz which has held a majority interest in LANCOM since November 2016 has taken a 100% stake to consolidate the growth strategy of both companies. LANCOM is a manufacturer of network infrastructure solutions for business and the public sector. It will operate as an independent subsidiary within the group.

Rohde & Schwarz is supplying its DPI engine R&S PACE 2 to Indigo Software. It will enhance the softare company's web application security solution with protocol and application classification capabilities. R&S PACE 2 now serves as the core for their web application firewalls (WAFs), enabling them to obtain granular visibility of network traffic in order to analyse HTTP requests and responses to detect malicious behaviour.

At the RSA Conference in San Francisco, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate DPI software that enables cybersecurity vendors to strengthen their solutions and hold off hackers. An embedded deep packet inspection (DPI) engine from Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity serves as the core for Barracuda's NextGen firewall F-series. The Barracuda F-series firewall is able to classify network applications up to Layer 7 in real-time, and can granularly control what applications are permitted, prioritized or de-prioritised for access.
