RiLine60, a fully shielded flexible busbar system with a wide range of busbar adaptors, provides a cost effective solution for power distribution within control cabinets. To assist with the reduction of design and installation time, Rittal’s RPE design software has been developed for the creation of a parts list for a distribution system.

Rittal’s Cuponal busbar is a copper-coated aluminium busbar available in lengths of 2400m which can offer customers several advantages over traditional busbar systems. Suitable for installation in standard Rittal tested busbar supporting systems, the Cuponal busbar is available in the following sizes and current rating: 20 x 5mm 235A; 20 x 10mm 363A; 30 x 5mm 328A and 30 x 10mm 493A.

Rittal today explains that, until now, the assembly of sheet steel enclosure base/plinths was a fairly time-consuming process. The new Flex-Block base/plinth system developed by Rittal can speed this up considerably.

Enclosure climate control calculations can now be carried out, on the move, using the Rittal RiTherm smartphone app. Guiding the user through the usually time-consuming process of calculating climate control requirements for individual enclosure assemblies, Rittal’s RiTherm app uses an intuitive interface for the input of enclosure details and design parameters.

Rittal’s range of TopTherm fan and filter units has been extended with electronically commutated (EC) variants now available in all but the smallest unit. With a combination of fan and dust filters and a particularly economical means of dissipating heat loads from enclosures using ambient air, Rittal’s EC fan-and-filter units employ the same diagonal fan technology as the standard version.

Rittal’s new easy connect bus-mounting fuse bases are supplied as complete units, which includes a cover plate, contact hazard protection and exterior connection clamps. Snapping onto Rittal’s RiLine60 busbar system, the fuse base has a modular design with options for configuration to meet specific requirements.

To overcome the problems associated with the need to design, source and build outdoor enclosures to order, Rittal‘s popular CS basic range of aluminium enclosures is available from stock in a range of standard sizes with either single or double doors.

For optimum efficiency Rittal’s range of wall-mounted air/water heat exchangers will now be supplied with the following features. For quick and easy installation the air/water heat exchangers can now be mounted and removed completely from outside the enclosure without having to open the enclosure door.

Rittal has recognised a rise in the popularity of laminated copper bars in the OEM and panel builder market and produced a technical guide, which shows how to calculate fault rating capacities of their laminated copper bar.

Rittal announce their brand new Industrial Liquid Cooling Package is now available. Essentially, a large air/water heat exchanger that has a chassis formed from the TS 8 frame, the Industrial LCP may be bayed directly adjacent to enclosures and used to cool installed equipment that dissipates a large amount of heat.

One of the problems encountered with outdoor enclosures is the onset of cold weather and consequently the possibility of condensation within the structure. In order to eliminate this unwanted natural event, Rittal’s standard range of heaters for their outdoor cabinet can keep the chill off delicate electronics housed within.
