Rittal’s new operating housings based on AE with handle strips, unveiled at this year’s Hanover Fair, have been noted for their attractive eye-catching design, based on the support arm system system CP 60/120/180.

Featuring a cooling capacity of up to 20kW per rack, the Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) Hybrid has been released by Rittal. To cool IT components installed inside the server enclosure, the system features a large, high-performance air/water heat exchanger. The system, which features a thermal output of up to 10kW, is suitable for IT racks used in data centres, universities and auto-industry super-computers. 

To offer the same configuration options as traditional baying systems, Rittal has integrated it's SE 8 enclosure system into it's TS 8 platform. With this, users are no longer forced to fall back on an enclosure system different from baying suites when preferring to use free-standing enclosures as stand-alone solutions. Reviewed and assessed by the Chartered Institute of Building Engineers (CIBSE) to ensure the technical content is of a high standard, Rittal has announced three accredited seminars to support customers in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The free of charge seminars take the form of short informative presentations and a workshop.

Cooling units suitable for environments which require low levels of noise, have been introduced by Rittal. Due to their high levels of noise, cooling units tend to be used within environments where noise is not an issue. However, TopTherm 'Blue e' roof mounted cooling units can control the temperature of environments such as laboratories and offices without disturbing personnel. 

Utilising the latest in energy efficient cooling technonology from Rittal has dramatically lowered PUE at Node4’s latest datacentre at Northampton.

Compatible with the larger models in the range of electronically commutated (EC) TopTherm fan-and-filter units, Rittal has announced a fan speed control sensor. This handy and compact device automatically adjusts the fan speed in response to changes in temperature inside the enclosure.

Rittal’s TopTherm Blue e cooling units provide an energy efficient means of cooling enclosures. Incorporating the integrated eComfort controller and offering energy savings of up to 45%, the units are compatible with Rittal’s RiDiag II software.

Air/water heat exchangers from Rittal can cool the air in an enclosure to a temperature lower than that of the ambient air outside the enclosure. By not relying on ambient air for cooling, the maximum operating ambient air temperature can be as high as 70 °C. The heat is transferred to a water circuit which can move it to a remote location before it is dissipated.

Rittal have announced that its thermostatic electric cooler is ideally suited for command panels and support arm systems. Featuring compact size, light weight and low‑vibration operation, the Rittal thermoelectric cooling unit provides flexible and lightweight cooling for a heating solution that offers precise climate control.

  Rittal has today announced the release of its new guide book. Titled "Standard-compliant Switchgear and Control Protection", the new guide gives insights into the new IEC 61439 standards and will assist Rittal customers and give guidance on how to comply with the standards.

Rittal’s new TopTherm fan-and-filter unit makes installation and servicing simpler and quicker as mounting on the enclosure, electrical connection, reversal of the direction of airflow and replacement of the filter mat are all possible without the use of any tools.

Rittal’s new Micro Data Centre Level E provides IT infrastructure with reliable and flexible protection. The security safe is fully compatible with Rittal’s TS IT rack and effectively shields servers from physical threats. The Micro Data Centre can be upgraded, using a variety of accessories to create an extremely tough resistance class 4 security room.

Rittal now have standard pricing for the stainless steel variants of their cooling units, including those from the TopTherm Generation Blue e range. A selection of wall-mounted cooling units, with nominal outputs in the range 300-1500 W and rated operating voltages of 230 V AC and 400 V AC, are now also available from stock.

Rittal have today announced the introduction of a new range of modular support arm systems that make it easy to turn, lift and swivel control panels with precision. Offering an ergonomic interface between machines, control devices and operators, Rittal support arm systems give the operator a clear overview and the best possible control.

Focusing on flexibility, operation and security, Rittal’s TopTherm inverter chillers feature a reduced depth of 605mm, thereby increasing the number of enclosures it can be bayed to. Having been relocated to the unit’s roof and fitted with a protection grill, the condenser fan offers optimised thermodynamic performance and minimal risk of damage during transit and installation.

Rittal’s complete range of cooling units have now been independently certified. Tests were performed in accordance with the current DIN EN 14511- 2 at the TÜV Nord’s test centre for refrigeration, air-conditioning and ventilation technology in Essen, Germany.
