RF power transistor delivers 20dB typical gain
The MAGX-000912-650L0x is a gold-metalised, matched gallium nitride on silicon carbide RF power transistor from MACOM, that is optimised for civilian and military pulsed avionics amplifier applications in the 960 MHz to 1215 MHz range, such as Mode-S, TCAS, JTIDS, DME and TACAN.
DC RF switch integrates RF, analogue and digital functions
A new UltraCMOS true DC RF switch, the PE42020 from Peregrine Semiconductor is now available from Richardson RFPD. The device is a HaRP technology-enhanced SPDT true DC RF switch that operates from DC up to 8 GHz with integrated RF, analogue and digital functions.
Pin diode switches operate from 50 MHz to 1 GHz
Two new 200W PIN diode switches from M/A-COM Technology Solutions are on sale at Richardson RFPD. The MASW-011040 and MASW-011041 are high power PIN diode switches in common anode configurations, operating from 50 MHz to 1 GHz and featuring low insertion loss and excellent linearity.
Low noise amplifier operates at 0.3 GHz to 20 GHz
Richardson RFPD is offering availability and full design support capabilities for a GaAs pHEMT MMIC LNA from Analog Devices (ADI). The HMC1049LP5E operates between 0.3 and 20 GHz and provides 15 dB of small signal gain, 1.8 dB noise figure, and output IP3 of +29 dBm, while requiring only 70 mA from a +7V supply.
Half-bridge module mitigates over-voltage protection
Richardson RFPD has availability and full design support capabilities for a new 1.2kV, 13mΩ all-silicon carbide half-bridge module from Cree. The CAS120M12BM2 includes C2M MOSFETs and Z-Rec diodes and features ultra-low loss, high-frequency operation, zero reverse recovery current from the diodes, zero turn-off tail current from the MOSFETs, fail-safe operation, ease of paralleling, and a copper baseplate and aluminum nitride insulator.
Reflective switch operates from 30MHz to 3GHz
The new 100W single-pole, triple-throw reflective switch from M/A-COM Technology Solutions is available from Richardson RFPD with full design support. The MASW-011030 is offered in a common anode configuration and operates from 30 MHz to 3 GHz. It features low insertion loss and excellent linearity, with low DC consumption, and is capable of handling 100W continuous wave incident power at a base plate temperature of 85ºC.
Tuning control switches based on UltraCMOS process
Two new tuning control switches from Peregrine Semiconductor are available at Richardson RFPD. The PE613010 and PE613050 are the first two devices in a new family of tuning control switches based on Peregrine’s UltraCMOS technology, a patented variation of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology on a sapphire substrate, offering excellent RF performance.
Up-converter suited for 28 and 32 GHz band point-to-point radios
Richardson RFPD is offering availability and full design support capabilities for a new up-converter from M/A-COM Technology Solutions. The MAUC-011003 is an integrated up-converter assembled in a lead-free 4 mm 24-lead PQFN plastic package. It features a typical conversion gain of 12 dB, image rejection of 15 dBc, and is integrated with an LO doubler, LO buffer amplifier, and RF buffer amplifier.

Richardson RFPD is offering the new 1200V, 32A, 80mΩ SiC MOSFET from Microsemi with full design support capabilities. The APT40SM120J is built on Microsemi's patented SiC MOSFET technology, which features best-in-class RDS(on) vs. temperature. It also features ultra-low gate resistance for minimising switching energy loss, superior maximum switching frequency, and outstanding ruggedness with superior short circuit withstand.

Three new Analog Devices converters including a 16-bit digital to analogue devices are available at Richardson RFPD. The new devices also include an analogue-to-digital converter and a dual analogue-to-digital converter. Richardson RFPD has availability and full design support capabilities for a new fast switching 2-bit RF digital step attenuator from Peregrine Semiconductor. The broadband PE43205 operates from 35 to 6000 MHz, covers an 18 dB attenuation range in 6 dB and 12 dB steps, with 29 ns switching time.
Power amplifiers target comms applications
Richardson RFPD has immediate availability and full design support capabilities for two new 24W Psat (20W P1dB) power amplifiers from Wavelex. The new 50Ohm devices operate from 925 GHz to 960 GHz, offer high gain, low gain flatness, and high power added efficiency. They are offered in SMA-connector packages and packaged with precision machine housings in Wavelex’s WP-1M package.
Differential amplifier operates from 5MHz to 300MHz
Richardson RFPD has availability of a new 75Ω reverse path variable gain amplifier from M/A-COM Technology Solutions. The MAAM-011186 is an integrated two-stage differential amplifier operating from 5 to 300 MHz, with an embedded digital step attenuator (DSA) for CATV reverse path applications. It delivers 36 dB modulation Error ratio (MER) performance for 64 QAM modulation and is loaded with 39 channels at 52 dBmV per channel.
