Senior UK Minister visits Renishaw during India-UK TECH Summit

Dedicated healthcare facility opened in South Wales
A Healthcare Centre of Excellence has been announced by Renishaw at its Miskin site, located close to Cardiff, South Wales. The Centre, which was formally opened on 29th September by The Rt. Hon Carwyn Jones AM, First Minister of Wales, provides a facility for the manufacture of custom medical devices, as well as education and training for the life sciences community.
Research investment will shape aircraft of the future
It has been announced that Renishaw is contributing its additive manufacturing expertise to a £17.7m project, being led by Airbus in the UK, to develop an innovative way of designing and manufacturing aircraft wings, which will encourage a 'right first time approach' and reduce development time.
Moto2 bike wins with 3D printed suspension part
French Moto2 team TransFIORmers won its first race at the CEV Repsol European Championship in Barcelona in June 2016. The team used a front suspension system including an additively manufactured (3D printed) titanium wishbone produced using Renishaw’s AM250 manufacturing system.

Renishaw presents additive manufacturing products at formnext 2015

Renishaw to exhibit inspection software at EMO 2015
At EMO 2015, which takes place from 5th to 10th October in Milan, Italy, Renishaw will introduce Inspection Plus with SupaTouch. This enhanced software package automatically optimises on-machine measurement cycles to minimise cycle time and maximise productivity.
Diagnostic kit aids installation of encoder systems
Renishaw's TONiC linear and rotary encoder systems feature integral set-up LEDs that are usually sufficient for installation purposes, giving a visual indication of the signal level and calibration status. Those customers with the most challenging set-up requirements are now supported by an optional PC software package for use in conjunction with a diagnostic hardware kit.
A 3D printing tour of the UK
This festival season, Renishaw is spreading the word about additive manufacturing by presenting the world-famous Renishaw-Empire metal 3D printed bike at several business and family friendly events across the UK. 3D printed bicycle frame breaks records
Renishaw has been featured in the 2015 edition of Guinness World Records for manufacturing the world’s first 3D printed titanium alloy bicycle frame. The project was completed in collaboration with British bike manufacturer Empire Cycles.
Topological optimisation benefits of additive manufacturing

Cardiff University adopts 3D metal printing
Adding laser melting to it’s additive manufacturing research and development technologies, Cardiff University has invested in a Renishaw AM250 machine. With this addition, the university’s Additive Laboratories at it’s School of Engineering have adopted a more holistic approach to manufacturing.
Certification makes 3D printing 'plug & play'
Having obtained a compliance certificate from TÜV SÜD for its AM250 laser melting machine, Renishaw intends to help 3D printing evolve from being considered an emerging technology, reserved for design and testing, into a mainstream manufacturing tool.
