Remploy has appointed Adam Broad as group master production scheduler, a new role that has been introduced as part of Remploy Electronics’ ongoing business process review. This pivotal role has been created for long term planning to ensure that all Remploy Electronics sites run smoothly in the three main process areas: new product introduction, enquiry to order, and order to shipment.

Paul Blundell has been appointed as key account manager for Northern England by Remploy Electronics. He has joined the company at the end of June. His responsibilities include supporting the existing customer base as well as developing new business for the contract manufacturing company.

Remploy Electronics has appointed Carl Lawton as local Remploy manager at its Bolton facility. He will be in charge of the complete electronics manufacturing operations as well as having responsibility for the 68 staff working there. Prior to his latest promotion, Lawton was manufacturing manager at Remploy Electronics Bolton and has 12 years of employment with the company.

Remploy Electronics has further enhanced its PCB testing capabilities with the installation of new automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment at its Bolton and Barking factories. The benchtop systems inspect solder joints and verify correct part assembly, enabling quality levels and throughput to be maximised.

Remploy Electronics has been chosen by World Golf Systems to support the enhancement of the company’s TopGolf centres worldwide. TopGolf is a new game, developed in the UK, that uses conventional clubs and golf balls equipped with microchips to create a points-based competition for players.
