A database management system that can be configured to precisely match the needs of any smart grid has been introduced by Raima. If smart grids are to achieve their full potential, efficient data handling is a prerequisite. The Raima Database Manager (RDM) can be embedded into the grid to provide local real-time control. 

Raima has released version 3 of the Raima Database API for NI LabVIEW, which supports RDM 12 Plus on NI CompactRIO systems, and adds waveform data types, replication, mirroring and asynchronous notifications to the award winning LabVIEW Tools Network package. As with the first two releases, the LabVIEW API provides a complete set of LabVIEW functions for accessing the power of the Raima database.

Supporting popular operating systems, the RDM Embedded 12.0 has been released by Raima. The RDM Embedded 12 supports the latest versions of Wind River’s VxWorks, QNX Neutrino and Green Hills INTEGRITY, as well as Windows CE and Linux ARM.
