Taking place at the same time as this year's productronica, IT companies, industry experts and approximately 4,000 trade visitors met at IT2Industry 2017 in Munich from 14th to 17th November. The next steps of digitalisation and present specific solutions were discussed. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, productronica continued to attract good crowds with 38,000 visitors from nearly 80 countries. Visitors from Asia increased while travel issues affected some European countries. 

The winners of the productronica innovation award were announced earlier this week on the first day of the show. An independent panel of judges selected the most innovative products and solutions from nearly 70 submissions

One of productronica's new clusters, the semiconductor cluster, will bring together exhibitors that will present their latest innovations in areas such as cleanroom technology, chips and cyber-physical and intelligent systems as well as their integration into real applications. productronica's opening event, a CEO Roundtable, highlights one of the most urgent topics related to Industry 4.0 - cyber security in companies. New at this year's event, the productronica innovation award is being presented at the international trade fair for electronics production. More than 70 companies from around the world submitted their product innovations and the award ceremony will be held on the first day of the fair (November 10). The finalists in all five categories have been selected by a prominent panel of judges.
