The latest Annual Report from the Energy Leaders' Coalition (ELC) outlines ambitious goals for gender diversity in the energy sector, though recruitment and progression barriers for women remain.

POWERful Women is delighted to announce the appointment of Joanna Whittington, and Tomi Isaacs to its Board; and the addition for the first time of young professionals in an advisory capacity – Francesca Putzu and Ola Balbaa. Francis Gugen has also announced his retirement from the Board, after 10 years.

The leaders of 18 of the UK’s largest energy organisations, including the regulators Ofgem and the North Sea Transition Authority, have published a commitment to do more to support women working in middle management in the UK energy sector.
