PXI/PCI programmable resistors suit high-density simulation
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI and PCI Programmable Resistors used for high-density resistor simulation. Pickering’s existing PXI High-Density Precision Programmable Resistor Module (model 40-297) and PCI High-Density Precision Programmable Resistor Card (model 50-297) have been expanded to increase the configurations offered from 42 to 50 models per platform.
High-density PXI solid state multiplexer can sustain 1.5A for 100ms
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a Versatile High-Density PXI Solid State Multiplexer. This PXI Solid State Multiplexer (model 40-681) features a wide range of selectable switching configurations and the versatility of its architecture allows all multiplexer banks to be inter-linked and common connections used as extra signal inputs programmatically.
RF/Microwave switching solutions on parade in Paris
Pickering Interfaces is showcasing its broad catalogue of Ethernet LXI and PXI RF & Microwave switching solutions to European Microwave Week in Paris (Sept 7-11). These RF & Microwave Switching solutions range from low-level DC signals to RF and Microwave. PXI reed relay matrix offers hot switch ratings of 0.5-1A
An improved high-density PXI reed relay matrix module has been introduced by Pickering Interfaces. The 40-533B is available as either a 64x4 or 64x2 matrix. Offered in one-pole or two-pole versions, the module features up to 1A 150VDC/100VAC 15W hot switching and is supported by the company’s diagnostic test tools, BIRST and eBIRST.

The SMT Hybrid Packaging 2015 in Nuremberg (May 5-7) will provide a platform for Pickering Interfaces PXI 16A switching, PXI isolated power supply, and PCI fault insertion solutions. New launches in the PCI range include a PCI 2A Fault Insertion Switch – for switching fault conditions for burn-in/endurance testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
PCI fault insertion card
A PCI fault insertion card, available as either a one or two slot short PCI card, has been introduced by Pickering Interfaces. The 50-190 card features 75, 64 or 36 fault insertion channels and one or two fault insertion busses, each of which can select from three fault sources. Switching system test tools lower cost of ownership
Pickering Interfaces is lowering the cost of ownership of switching systems with the introduction of its eBIRST Switching System Test Tools. These diagnostic test tools, designed specifically for Pickering Interfaces PXI, PCI or LXI (Ethernet) products, simplify switching system fault finding by quickly testing the system and identifying the faulty relays.

16A PXI switching modules suit EV applications
Following the success of its 16A uncommitted relay modules, Pickering Interfaces has introduced two 16A PXI switching modules. The PXI power multiplexer module is available in seven configurations ranging from 4-off 2:1 multiplexers to 1-off 16:1 multiplexer. The PXI power matrix module is available in four configurations with matrix sizes of 8x2 and 4x4 and the ability to expand the matrix size with the Y-Axis loop-through connections.
Resistor & relay cards feature a 0.25-2Ω resolution
PCI and PXI programmable resistor and relay cards, which feature 12 resistor channel options, a resolution of 0.25-2Ω and channel counts of either two or four, have been released by Pickering Interfaces. To extend the resistance range within a test system, the 50-294 PCI card and the 40-294 PXI card are optionally available with eight SPST relays.
LXI switching matrix supports 1024 relay closure counts
Designed to support DMMs or source meters which require the closure of up to 1024 crosspoint relays, the 60-553 LXI switching matrix has been introduced by Pickering Interfaces. Featuring a dual bus design, the 1024x4, 1-pole, 1U device can be divided into two smaller independent matrices, such as 512x4.

Solid state switches feature operating time of under 250µs
Pickering Interfaces has added two PXI high power solid-state switch modules to its range of PXI switching solutions. The PXI 25A Solid State SPST Switch (40-184) offers 3 or 6-off SPST solid-state switches capable of handling 25A signals at up to 100V, whilst the PXI 1.5A Solid State SPST Switch (40-185) offers 3 or 6-off SPST solid-state switches able to handle 1.5A at up to 400V.
