The simplest LEDs for streetlights & high/low bay fixtures

Designed specifically as a turnkey solution for outdoor LED fixtures, Lumileds introduces the LUXEON XR-M line of Matrix Platform solutions. Flexible LED strips provide long lengths of uniform light

  Expanding its Matrix Platform family of integrated LED products, Lumileds has announced the LUXEON XF-3014 CV flexible LED strips. The 24V constant voltage LED strips distribute extremely uniform light across user-selectable lengths and require only a simple 24V constant voltage driver.

LED arrays achieve 15,000 lumens in 28x28mm package

Designed for use in high lumen streetlights, high bay fixtures and downlights, Lumileds has extended its successful LUXEON CoB Core Range portfolio with the LUXEON CoB 1216. These arrays feature a 23mm light emitting surface in a standard 28x28mm package, providing a 40% greater flux than Lumileds existing CoBs in an identical mechanical footprint.

Lumileds strengthens chip scale package leadership

Lumileds extends its Chip Scale Packaging (CSP) leadership, announcing LUXEON FlipChip White. Spearheading the adoption of CSP in LEDs, Lumileds has shipped over 500m LED emitters to date across several applications. The company first introduced LUXEON FlipChip Royal Blue in February 2013, giving luminaire manufacturers complete design flexibility by starting with the LED die.

Smooth colour mixing becomes the standard

Lumileds has announced a revolutionary approach to achieving flawless colour mixing with its high power LUXEON C Color Line of LEDs. “We’ve solved the problems of beam halos and mismatched, unmixed colour by designing our platform to offer multiple colours with a single focal length,” explained David Cosenza, Product Manager, LUXEON C Colors Line.

CoB LEDs deliver an average of 10% higher efficacy & flux

LEDs can operate for 13 years with 90% of their brightness

Lumileds has announced breakthrough LM-80 test results for its LUXEON 3535L mid power LED line. Completing 10,000 hours of LM-80 testing at 55, 85 and 105°C, Lumileds has exceeded lumen maintenance requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR programme, qualification by the DesignLights Consortium (DLC), as well as other emerging specifications.

CoB LED array can be used for both 35 & 50W GU10/MR16 lamps

A line of CoB LED arrays, which can be used for both 35W equivalent and 50W equivalent GU10 or MR16 lamps, has been introduced by Lumileds. The LUXEON CoB Compact Range 109 arrays feature a combination of high efficacy, high flux and a small LES of 6.5mm, enabling high punch at low beam angles.

Affordable LED offers single-source beam control

Offering a more affordable LED option for directional lamp manufacturers requiring single-source beam control, the LUXEON 5258 has been released by Philips Lumileds. The initial LEDs released in the 5258 plastic package are in warm white CCTs with a minimum CRI of 80. A 5mm diameter optical source enables precise beam control in directional applications.

CoB array delivers centre beam candle power

Delivering centre beam candle power (CBCP), the LUXEON CoB 1202s has been released by Philips Lumileds. Featuring a 6.5mm light-emitting surface, the CoB array is particularly suitable for directional lamps. Highlighting the richest whites, vibrant reds and colours that pop in retail settings, the LUXEON CoB 1202s is also available with CrispWhite Technology.

CoB arrays boast 10% or greater efficacy than competion

Chip-on-board (CoB) arrays for PAR38 equivalent lamps are being billed by their manufacturer, Philips Lumileds, as being the most affordable on the market, as well as achieving 10% or greater efficacy than competing solutions. Also suited for spotlights, LUXEON CoB 1202 has a typical efficacy of 115 lm/W, and it varies from 95-130 lm/W depending on color temperature and CRI of the array.

LED increases its typical flux output by 10%

The LUXEON 3535 2D, from Philips Lumileds, has had its typical flux output increased by 10% - an increase from  55lm to 61lm. This increase results an optimized performance in combination with the Quality of Light needed for distributed light source applications.  Simultaneously, typical voltage has been lowered—resulting in an efficacy increase of more than 10%.
